Obama Advisor: "He is bored to death and too talented for ordinary people"
Pittsburgh Live ^ | November 15, 2010 | Ralph Reiland

Posted on 11/15/2010 6:35:44 PM PST by GlockThe Vote

In his biography of Obama, "The Bridge," David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker, quotes White House senior adviser and longtime Obama friend Valerie Jarrett: "I think Barack knew that he had God-given talents that were extraordinary. He knows exactly how smart he is. ... He knows how perceptive he is. He knows what a good reader of people he is. And he knows that he has the ability -- the extraordinary, uncanny ability -- to take a thousand different perspectives, digest them and make sense out of them, and I think that he has never really been challenged intellectually. ... So what I sensed in him was not just a restless spirit but somebody with such extraordinary talents that had to be really taxed in order for him to be happy. ... He's been bored to death his whole life. He's just too talented to do what ordinary people do."

Talk about a "yes man" -- or a devotee woman. The boss is so "extraordinary," so above the "ordinary" man, that he's been long-term bored to death -- untaxed, unhappy, uncanny and unchallenged.

And now unappreciated -- simultaneously called "pathetic" and "tone-deaf," respectively, by the left in The Progressive and the right in The Washington Times.

Turns out that Jarrett's wrong -- there's nothing "extraordinary" about Obama's talent in reading people or understanding economics.

Another brilliant, really really smart, supremely intelligent, unbelieveably bright, Progressive genius.

Aren’t we all fortunate to have him and the rest of those brilliant, really really smart, Progressive geniuses throughout the government.

/s/

IMHO

Yeah, you’re right. The article is NOT complimentary toward Bonnie Prince Barack. The author is using the quotes and excerpt to counter the reality.

My guess would be that Jefferson and maybe TR were the most intelligent presidents. Obama strikes me as someone who has just been given everything he has accomplished. He is not stupid but seems just slightly above average to me.

Very possibly the least intelligent president.

This hagiographic article is quite candidly an embarrassment to the American people. Valerie Jarrett has either swilled deeply from the kool-aid barrel, or she is the most sycophantic camp-follower that has ever soiled a presidential administration. I didn't think anyone could be as kiss-ass as Paul Begala was to BJ Clinton, but Jarrett has him beat, hands down.

Yeah, but can he throw a pitch all the way to the plate, instead of on one or two bounces?

I’m so glad that the world leaders put his punk in his place. What a loser! And it only cost us $2 billion dollars for his 57th vacation.

If Barky is too ‘talented’ to do his job competently, what demented, perverted motive caused him so work so hard to inflict himself on the country? Sorry, Jarrett - 0bama is either incompetent or evil; you can’t excuse his wrongdoing.

I’ll tell you right now that I’m gonna think I’m a better political director than my political director

He is probably correct on this, but it is not because he is so brilliant. It is because he surrounds himself with groupies instead of professionals. If he did he would not be able to keep up with them.

Sick. Absolutely sick.

Intelligence, honesty, and humility are burdens 0bama will never have to bear.

“Dumb” Republicans always seem to make much better Presidents than “smart” Dims. “Dumb” Republicans rely on the intellect of hundreds of advisors selected for their competence and honesty. “Smart” Dim Presidents think they know everything and surround themselves with dolts and yes-men.

â– Delusions. In paranoid schizophrenia, delusions are often focused on the perception that you’re being singled out for harm.(By Fox news or Glenn Beck) Your brain misinterprets experiences and you hold on to these false beliefs despite evidence to the contrary. ...You may also have delusions of grandeur ...
