WASHINGTON (AP) -- House Democrats have re-elected Nancy Pelosi as their leader in the next Congress.
The closed-door vote Wednesday will let the California congresswoman shift from House speaker to minority leader in January, despite concerns by some Democrats that the party needs new leadership after suffering huge midterm election losses.

The White House would have none of that, even if it meant shoving Clyburn to the back of the bus.

It will be interesting to see how many Dem Representatives refuse to vote for Pelosi in the formal Speaker vote in January. Now, that the Dems lost control of the House maybe their leadership won’t punish Dems in competitive districts who vote for a Rat other than Pelosi as Speaker.
