Obama administration plans to pull back National Guard from much of the border

The Obama Administration plans to withdraw National Guard troops from the Texas, New Mexico and California borders by the end February under a new Southwest security plan, even as turmoil in Mexican border cities grows, according to documents obtained by The Washington Examiner.

A letter sent to various members of the Texas Congressional delegation from Texas' Gov. Rick Perry's office says, "In February, 2011, the Texas, New Mexico, and California National Guard forces that were deployed to the border in September, 2010, under President's Obama's Southwest Border Augmentation Plan, will have 30 days to complete a total draw down of forces."

This is a joke of an Administration. The election is over, so the lunatic-left d-crat socialists no longer need to have ILLEGALS escorted across the border to vote.

This is from Wikipedia about the Nevada National Guard, but I thought/think this applies to the National Guards of all states. How, then, can Obama over-rule the governors?

We should have ten thousand troops on our border right now. We should stop the cartels dead in their tracks, certainly on our side of the border. I’m contemplating action on the other side too.

We should stop all benefits whatsoever to illegal immigrants. They should be shown the door in short order.

Any whining that should be done, should be done by folks who have lost relatives, jobs, and homes to the illegals. Any other whining I don’t even want to hear.

The Gov is, until they are federalized. Then it’s POTUS. They will have to be pulled back, control returned to the states, then the Gov can call them out as the state contingent. Right now, they are federal troops, i.e., National Guard.

Surprise, surprise. Obama helped get his RINO boy McCain reelected with this charade of increased border security, so there’s no longer any need to keep up the charade. They avoided having a real conservative represent Arizona, so it’s time to move on.

(But I’m sure Juan’s is working day and night to “secure the border first” as he’s been promising since 2007, and really, really promised during his recent reelection, hoodwinking campaign.)
