TSA: Some gov't officials to skip airport security

WASHINGTON — Cabinet secretaries, top congressional leaders and an exclusive group of senior U.S. officials are exempt from toughened new airport screening procedures when they fly commercially with government-sanctioned security details.

New heightened security procedures by the Transportation Security Administration, which require either a scan by a full-body detector or an intimate personal pat-down, have spurred passenger outrage in the lead-up to the Thanksgiving holiday airport crush.

The senior government officials can opt out of such measures if they fly accompanied by government security guards approved by the TSA. The agency would not explain why it makes these exceptions, but many of the exempted government officials have gone through several levels of security clearances, including FBI background checks.

EXACTLY! That’s what I’ve been seeing over and over. Getting us used to being herded around like sheeple.
It’s true that if you endure something long enough you become inured to it.

The ruling elite makes rules for the ordinary person that it doesn’t apply to itself.

Do read through the thread, it has been very educational for me. And I love On Eagles Wings.

This holiday season everyone will get a reminder that they are living in a socialist dictatorship. All so they can travel to go celebrate “gratitude”? It’s pointless. Stay home and eat turkey. You’ll meet your family in the labor camps. We’ll all die together.

Airline pilots and flight attendants yes, Government officials absolutely not!

Government officials have a moral duty to go thou everything they make the people go thou.

Even if it is know that they are not a security risk that is NOT the point. As a government official you set an example, and you NEVER ask anyone else to do anything your not willing to do yourself!

It’s all about training people to obey — of course the people giving the orders are exempt.

I learned that JR has a funny sense of humor,

That people are passionate about their convictions here,

That I’ve been using FU incorrectly :)

At work, when I’m making notes I write

FU Joe Smith re: info required
FU Mary Jones re: timeliness of report

Where MY meaning of FU is “Follow Up”

hmmmm, I’ve gone through many repetative DoD, FBI, State and local criminal background checks for years...

I think I should be exempt...
