CONNECTED POLS GET BIG PAYOFF We keep hearing full body scanners are necessary because of terrorist threats. But it turns out the people who make the things played a role as well. USA TODAY found firms with multimillion-dollar contracts to supply airports with body-scanning machines more than doubled their spending on lobbying in the past five years and hired several high-profile former government officials to advance their causes in Washington.

Scanner firms hired lobbyists include Linda Daschle, a former federal aviation official and wife of Tom Daschle, former Senate Majority Leader. L-3 Communications, which has sold $39.7 million of the scanners, spent $4.3 million trying to influence Congress. Rapiscan Systems spent $271,500 lobbying. It also hired former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff who has been a big proponent of scanners. Rapiscan made $41.2 million from the government.

This is Ron Paul on CNN debating the issue with some Bush advisor.

In this one, Ron Paul ends up saying (about half way through) that the whole thing is caused by the US fighting the Taliban who have nothing to do with AQ and we should leave them alone.

You know, I start out agreeing with some of the things Ron Paul says on this issue but then all you have to do is listen to him for a short time and the Arab-loving Moron f-head he is comes out pretty quickly.

How come no one is talking about second-hand groping? If second-hand smoke will kill you and three subsequent generations of your offspring (or so they tell us), how can we sit by and tolerate second-hand groping?

How often do you see these TSA clowns changing their gloves?

One can only imagine the potential germs being transferred from one passenger to the the next via 6 mil of latex.

Here’s a gross question... would anyone re-use a latex condom? The condom and the TSA latex glove are made from basically the same material, latex.

Now if everyone demanded that the gloves be changed before being touched... I know, I know, no one would ever make their flight. Maybe that’s what it will take for this insanity to change.

Everyone should demand that BO’s TSA Thugs:

1. Change their gloves.

2. Use hand sanitizer (I am taking a small bottle with me to the airport)

3. Describe in detail how they will be frisking.

4. And explain in detail what probable cause they have for the search.

The enhanced pat downs are designed to encourage travelers to submit to the scanners.

“Oh, so you don’t want to be scanned, eh? Fine, we’ll see how you like being molested in public. Take his son too. We’ll molest him too, and see how he likes that. Next time, he will be more than happy to submit to the scanner.”

When all else fails, follow the money. There is big money in scanners. Follow the Pols involved too, you will discover why we now have full body scanners.

Here’s a clue, our safety has nothing to do with it. Most any moron could tell you it would take a cavity search to prevent terrorists from boarding, with PETN shove up his arse. Someone is laughing all the way to the bank, at our expense.

After seeing some of the videos and hearing about the attitudes/behavior of the ‘blue shirts’ I am reminded of similar behavior by another group to other civilians. My memory goes back to the days of the ‘brown shirts’ in another nation. Oh yes, those were the days of the wannabes leading to the control and elimination of a segment of undesirable society. But wait, there is still another lesson from history. Go back to the days when the government red shirt workers in Russia started filling the gulags with undesirable bourgeoisie. It seems some people ,no matter the color the shirt they wear,like the power over people which they could not get without government

My thought is that Obimbo wants people to boycott the airlines, thereby causing another financial crisis that can only be solved by a gubmint bailout/takeover, ala GM. Then they can control that much more of our lives. He must see this as a no-lose situation: unconstitutional searches lead to unconstitutional governmental ownership of private businesses. It’s pure socialism in action.
