Not entirely. The pullout in Iraq has allowed the Marine Corps to refit the lionshare of 2 divisions. Afg is only requiring a reinforced brigade at this time.
Its only a question of getting them there, and that’s why the MPS ships exist.
A marine Division also comes with an Air Wing of F-18s and A-6Bs. That would be enough to augment Osan AFB and the Washington.
Axlerod and zero would love to see the carrier named after the greatest American Founder in flames.
