See what happens when politicians run the military? I guess this idiot is saying “If you don’t love gays, get the hell out.” Does he actually think an army of gay men and women could go out and win a war? Does the think they’d even want to?

Every straight enlisted person should request an immediate honorable discharge and base the request on Mullen’s words.

I have more and more respect every day for the men and women who put up with this crap. I’m afraid to say I wouldn’t serve today under these new policies.

The Wikileaks ‘Gay’ Connection (Updated)

http://www.defendthefamily.com/pfrc/newsarchives.php?id=7661895

A concise summary of the problem with inviting homosexuals into highly confidential circles is drawn from the memoirs of Police Commissioner Hans von Tresckow, who headed the equivalent of the Berlin “vice squad” from 1905 to 1919:

“[I]t is not the sense of duty towards one’s fellow-men or the nation that forms the rule of conduct for homosexualists; but in every turn of life and in all their striving they think only of the good or harm they may do to their own clique of friends.”

It was true then and it is true today. Just ask Bradley Manning.

"what you do, not who you are."

The irony of this statement is: as soon as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is repealed, it will instantly become about "who they are", and not "what they do".

When I was in, back in the late 80s and early 90s, everyone knew who "they" were, and we served together just fine. Reason being: they did their jobs, and no one cared what they did on their own time. They weren't blatant about it, trying to justify their lifestyle, and convince the rest of us that it was "ok" because, as soon as they did, they'd be ushered out of the military.

This whole "repeal 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'" movement isn't about solving a problem in the military: there is none.

This is about advancing the Gay agenda, which is, in short: "Our lifestyle is perfectly fine, and God help you if you don't believe it-- and help us promote it!"

The vocal portion of these people have conferred victim status on themselves for a lifestyle choice. Being gay may or may not be a choice. Acting gay is definitely a choice.

Military members who have a problem with a change in policy to allow gays to serve openly may find themselves looking for a new job, Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned Thursday.

This vile man is going to get us all killed with his insane pronouncements. It is true that the US Navy is leading the military in failed social experiments and is becoming a shadow of what it once was. Adm. Mike Mullen is continuing that slide to inefficiency and obscurity, and significantly endangering the ability of our country to defend itself, IMO.

Those in our military should adopt the following policy: "Don't leave, do resist."

If we allow none but the butt-lovers to be in our military, it will mean that our armed forces will be filled with people who are hostile to middle America. It doesn't take a genius to figure out where that will lead...

Meritocracy my ass! Most promotions for O6 and above have long been based on “who you know and who you blow”.

I observed too many who moved quickly up the ladder whose mission accomplishment knowledge and skills were overrated by their sponsors and who had reached their Peter Principle level of incompetence as captains or majors. There were a number of these during the 70s through the 90s whose combat experiences were along the lines of algore’s combat experience; if they had been in country for a month doing a Pentagon staff study it went down as combat experience and they received a medal. Those in the trenches doing the hands-on missions and actually leading troops generally don’t get any recognition that will get them promoted.

The promotion system has long been a political game and this started long before even the Civil War when politically appointed Union generals were the screwing up the war effort at every turn. I was of the opinion in 2001 when Bush came into office that he should have fired the JCS and probably half of the generals/admirals who had come up under clinton. Over the years the one branch that has suffered the least from this “perfumed prince” syndrome has been the Marine Corps.

Mullen will come to regret that statement. A lot of troops ARE going to walk as a result of this.

What makes you so sure that's not the admin's intention with all this?

For those who want the USA to be more like Europe.

They can sleep at night knowing the Nancy Boys have their back -
and maybe their sons too.

Mullen told a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing that the military is based on meritocracy, "what you do, not who you are." He said if Congress changes the don't ask, don't tell policy then the U.S. military will comply.

Still, Admiral, Sir: What and who you are will show out in what you do!

“The MOST frustrating thing is that the press could care less about national security as long as they keep pressing their agenda. The irony is they put their own families at risk as well. they must be breathtakingly stupid.”

I’ve often wondered the same about all of the players on the left. Do they not have anyone in their lives that they care about? Are they so stupid as to actually believe that communism is a good thing? So much of what is happening defies reason. Prayer seems to be the best action.

And is it true that the Wiki-Leaks scandal was initiated by a gay soldier who is now in a stockade?? Oh where in great shape. It wasn’t too long ago that homsexual behaviour was considered perversion. Not to mention that a large number of the gay community are unstable. Patton, Washington, Lincoln, Jackson, Truman etc. must be turning over in their graves.

The militia will gladly take them!!!

I was thinking a little earlier that we need some governors with railroad track for a back bone who will stand in the public and say, . . .

"Come on home boys, who want to serve, but don't want to serve with known sodomites. We'll for a new state militia of volunteers, excludng any known to be sodomites or other such perverts."

Would be great to if such governors included southern border states's CEOs. Then the primary training ground could be near the Mexican border. Desert warfare training---got to have it.

Run for office.

We've got to clear out the corrupt placeholders.

Returning vets; if you've got it in you to preach, preach. If not, run for office and help to turn this ship around. Town council, state assembly, congress, whatever you have a shot at winning, do it. Until we clear out the zombies its only going to get worse.

if 10% walked, that would mean that 250,000 troops leave

Considering how much it costs to train the average military member, replacement costs would be VERY large.

“what you do, not who you are.”

Well, that defines homosexuality. It isn’t an identity, it is a behavior. It is a disorder and unless you drag people to that fact you already lose the argument on discrimination.

When confronted on this topic with someone claiming homosexuality is an identity I point to the lesbian custody cases between states where one lesbian leaves the lifestyle and gets married. She then refuses to allow visitation to the former partner.

It isn’t an identity when you are homosexual on Monday and heterosexual on Friday. It is a behavior and a disorder, nothing more.
