A man who filmed himself abusing his girlfriend's 15-month-old son has been convicted of the child's murder.
Darren Newton, of Earby in Lancashire, had denied killing Charlie Hunt but admitted 12 counts of cruelty. The baby died of head injuries in November 2009.
The prosecution at Manchester Crown Court said Newton took videos on his phone for his "pleasure" and "satisfaction".
The 32-year-old is due to be sentenced later.

For scum like this we should bring back some of the techniques of the Inquisition.
Beyond that words fail me.
At the very least they should “accidentally” put him in with the GP in prison and let nature take its course.
A society that refuses the death penalty for cases such as this must have collective blood on its hands. I say this through gritted liberal Brit views on this issue.

I remember this case.....and the horrid details. This animal needs to be skinned, burned at the stake, beheaded....then punished.
I can’t read the piece, so I just skipped to the comments. Is there any mention of the mother of this poor child? What is her culpability?

“Hung, drawn and quartered” is what the Brits used to do.
Now they “strongly caution” criminals.
And where was the ‘mother’ when all of this was happening?
I’d say you are letting her off too easily.
