A 21-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested for attempting to blow up a military recruitment center in Catonsville with a fake bomb supplied by federal agents.
Federal authorities say Antonio Martinez, also known as Muhammad Hussain, attempted to detonate what he believed to be a vehicle bomb this morning at the Armed Forces Career Center in the 5400 block of Baltimore National Pike.
Court records paint Martinez as obsessed with Jihad and intent on punishing the military. He praised Nidal Hassan, the U.S. Army major who killed 13 people at Fort Hood, and discussed obtaining weapons and shooting up military installations, records show.
In November, he was observed on a public computer in Woodlawn viewing videos of Osama bin Laden and an Iraqi martyrdom. He discussed in public postings on his Facebook page how the "reign of oppression is about 2 cease."
It was through the social networking site that he communicated at times with an FBI informant, saying he wanted to go to Pakistan or Afghanistan and join the ranks of the "mujahideen."
He told the confidential source that if the military continued to kill Muslims, "they would need to expand their operation by killing U.S. Army personnel where they live," records show. They discussed attacking military installations and the possibility of using gas or propane tanks.

Better the perps just "accidentally" blow themselves into component particles in a mysterious, "now you see me, now you don't" kind of exit.
In some safe, secluded area,of course.
People are getting used to Muslim terror attacks inside the US. :(:(:(:(
Hmmm...An illegal muslim convert! Is the Dream Act Sharia approved?
We get a muslim friendly goof impersinating the President and the muslim terrorist attacks ramp up. I though the muslim world would love us for putting a muslim in the White House?
So far they've been botched or stopped beforehand, with a couple of exceptions, where the government helped in the cover-up (TWA -800). When one is successful, and a lot of people are killed, it won't pay to be a muzzie - mark my words.
We have got to stop the Amish before it is too late.
You guys are going to feel pretty stupid when the Amish actually do attack.
A mooselimb. What a shock.....
Martinez also said that he wanted to learn how to build a bomb so he could teach the "next 'young brother' who decided to fight," records show.
illegally here? The early line was he (Antonio Martinez) is a citizen. From the media, there appears to be no reason, whatsoever, to suspect illegals are dangerous.
...to show how strong and in control zer0 is? I wonder how many plots were foiled from 2001 to 2008? President Bush was interested in the security of the country and wouldn't advertise such attempts. Dems are so disgusting.
maybe Law Enforcement has told Zero, politely, to take a hike?
Entrapment, they will scream. Good little Muzzie boy led astray by FBI offers of a bomb to kill infidels!
Steve Emersons Investigative Project on Terrorism has now posted the criminal complaint against Antonio Martinez, a/k/a Muhammad Hussain, the 21-year-old American convert to Islam arrested today for attempting to bomb the Armed Forces recruiting station on Route 40 in Cantonsville, Maryland. IPT has also posted the governments press release, announcing and explaining the charges.
The case appears strikingly like the attempted bombing in Portland thwarted on Thanksgiving weekend. Martinez came to the governments attention in October because he was urging jihad on social Internet sites, such as Facebook. Based on these tips, the FBI was able to insert a confidential informant and an undercover agent. They learned that Martinez was hot to commit violent jihadist attacks, particularly targeting U.S. military personnel. Martinez told them he had chosen the recruiting station in Cantonsville as an ideal target. After Martinez repeatedly reaffirmed his plans, the government operatives convinced him to allow them to take care of pulling together the bomb components. An inert bomb was constructed, which Martinez allegedly tried to detonate today near the recruiting center, after which he was placed under arrest.
The heartening aspect of the story is that Martinez appears to have appealed to a number of area Muslims to join in his plot. They uniformly turned him down, telling him his actions were wrong and would profoundly harm Muslims. At least some of these people appear to have contacted the FBI to report the goings on.
What, they`ll try and smother us with quilts? Yoders,ho!
