It’s not Biblical. Don’t make an idol out of a tree.

They didn't worship the tree. The tree was, according to legend, planted by Joseph. It's something spiritual.

Please avoid the religious strawman arguments.

Of course they were worshipping it. This is no different that going to the Wailing Wall or traversing to Mecca.

There is nothing spiritual about a tree and it should have been cut down by Christians as soon as people thought there was!
