That is the problem with the euro, it only takes one of the nations to have an economic collapse to hurt the value of the euro. Which then has an effect on the economies throughout the union.

But they are bailing out the other EU nations anyways. The question on if the bailout was even legal is suppose to be in front of the German SC. I have not heard anything about it in some time however.

IIRC the German professors have only threatened to seek an SC determination.

Supposedly, if the German government agrees to another bailout, the Profs will sue.

This is based on blog posts that have hypothesized how the German SC would rule if it ever got to them.

The consensus seems to be that the German high court is as political as the USSC and inclined, as it is currently configured, to rubber stamp Merkel's decision.
