Terrible tax bill, DADT, and now possibly START...the GOP, just days from having SOOO much greater power, is folding like a cheap suit.

...and, just like a year ago with Hussein’s DEATH PANELS bill, notice how Reid is doing this: at Christmastime, in the middle of the night, when the public is distracted.

Demon-rats: they’ll eat your face off while you sleep.

Just sent Corker a message via twitter:
@SenBobCorker > What's the rush on START? Go home. Look at it in 2011.

Any other FReepers using twitter do the same.

My fingers are worn to nubs from all the emails and phone calls to Corker. He has really turned out to be a disgrace to TN.

I pray McConnell and his voiced opposition to START is signal
to enough others in the Senate. Whatever the result—even if it does get pushed back — I am not convinced that the braying Jacks and Jennies —the Socialists— and the Rino who help them have changed. And the Republicans will do as they have as well— and rely on the fact that their excuse is we the people have not elected enough Republicans. Why I wish we had heeded the advice of wiser men who said a Party system would destroy American government.

Corker Comments on Working to Secure Strong Missile Defense Commitments Related to START Treaty

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, made the following statement today regarding commitments to missile defense and the New START treaty (New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) with Russia. Attached is the letter President Obama sent to Republican Senators today stating his commitment to missile defense.
“I appreciate the letter we received today from the President, as requested, stating his commitment to missile defense,” said U.S. Senator Bob Corker. “Even though the McCain amendment failed, over the next several days we will be looking for ways to reiterate our strong position on missile defense as it relates to this treaty.”

Corker has to be the dumbest Senator ever. The Missile Defense clause is in the treaty and unless it's amended it will always be a part of the treaty regardless whether Obama writes a letter or not.

This has been a done deal since the tax cut extension compromise along with DADT and the Dream Act.

It takes 67 votes to ratify a treaty.
