The official explanation from Chris Marben, who coordinates regional Head Start programs through Mankato-based Minnesota Valley Action Council: “We have Somali families in the program. We’re respecting the wishes of families in the program.”

She didn’t say how many objections were made, but said more than one would be enough to cancel Santa…

I will guarantee you that not a single Somalian objected. The ones complaining were liberal social workers or other workers in the relief agencies sponsoring the refugees taking it upon themselves to complain on the Somalians' behalf. I have seen morons like this.

Just more confirmation that Santa, St. Nick, Saint Nicholas etc is in fact a Christian symbol no matter how many fun additions we make to his legend (reindeer/elves/north pole) and the use of such images and likeness to somehow “secularize” Christmas is rediculous.
