My understanding from a recent two week visit is that they do understand the dangers that Obama poses for them; and for us. Some usually not so political people spoke about their fears. NO ONE that I spoke to expressed any sort of optimism about Obama. I guess all the "hope" is a domestic thing; and the "change" is reserved for Israel.
