No BC included but a Certificate of Live Birth, maybe?

I know someone whose husband was hired to fly a plane load of shoes into an African country. As soon as they landed they were over run with people who tore open the containers and stole every last one of them.
The next shipment contained only the left shoes. Right shoes came in the following week. Problem solved.

In reading the replies, it seems that few FReepers understand the near riot conditions that erupted at this mall.
Not that I understand it, but here goes....
My son - now older and wiser - used to buy these high dollar athletic shoes. He had some 15-20 pair. Never wore them. Kept them in their original box.
It seems that - depending on the right pair - you can actually make buying shoes an investment.
(No, I am not (bleepping) you.)
My son has gone on Ebay and Craiglist and sold some $150 shoes for over $300. These are highly sought after collectible items, now.
Goes to show... You never know what some fool will pay good money for something.

You never know what some fool will pay good money for something. Got no problem with that... as long as it's their money.

Yeah...I remember cabbage patch dolls. It was my first “real job” behind a service desk at a big box toy store. Christmas Eve and I got clobbered over the head by a lady with a two ton handbag!!!
Course back in those days...she didn’t get the dang doll, but did get a ride to the police station.

It still amazes me that something can be marketed to trigger such a hysterical demand.
Above, poster Responsibility2nd gives a us a good idea about why there is a lot of interest in the shoes.
Glad you survived! I wonder if that woman regretted her assault. Awful way to act.

I remember Pitiful Pearl dolls circa 1958. Couldn’t keep them on the shelves. But no fights broke out over them.
