William Scott Ritter Jr., a former United Nations weapons inspector who gained renown for his criticism of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, contends his online sexual encounters with teenage girls were only fantasy.
Nearly two years ago, Ritter, of Delmar, watched his computer screen reveal that an anonymous person who had been exchanging sexually charged messages with him for 80 minutes was not a 15-year-old girl.
It was a cop from a small town in northeast Pennsylvania, alone in his station house and trolling the Internet for suspected child predators.
Ryan Venneman, a detective for the Barrett Township Police Department in Monroe County, had enough after Ritter allegedly transmitted streaming video of himself…

As an interesting bit of trivia, al Khafaji's Falkan Land Development and Falcon Management Group company [of Michigan]and to a greater degree the company he founded in S Africa in 1993 called "The Falcon Trading Group," [see http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/002/605fgcob.asp] shares names with an unrelated company called Falcon Trading Group, a hedge fund trading business based in Boca Raton Florida [a city notorious for its connections to 9/11]. FTG shared locations and an owner with another company called Sovereign Equity Management Corporation. FTG and SEMC were linked to crime families the FBI went after some time ago.
Ritter started turning in 1999... shortly after meeting al Khafaji in the Senate hearings and then after receiving the movie deal that followed that meeting.
Ritter said he found a children’s prison in Iraq but chose not to report it for fear such a place would be used to justify war on Iraq. I wonder if he stumbled upon the place or if Iraq showed it to him knowing- via the Russians- that he might have a personal interest in it that Saddam Hussein hoped could lead to a “deal,” or maybe more likely they had him find it in the hope he would do something they could use to blackmail him with later.
He was such a purdy talker, too.
Years ago, I received a "mis-sent" message in a hotmail account. The person presented herself as a female Canadian High School student and complained that I didn't meet her as promised.
I responded that she had the wrong person, that I was an adult and an Air Force Sergeant. "She" wrote back and apologized and commented about how "exciting" I sounded.
This had already seemed a bit creepy. I responded that I was a old married man and there was nothing particularly glamorous about my life. I also warned "her" that communication with strangers was very dangerous and she had better be cautious and I hoped her parents were reading these messages.
"Her" response seemed very odd. It was written like an adult posing as a child, but too professional. It almost sounded like I passed some sort of test.
To this day I wonder if it might have been a trap by a police agency.
Given Ritter’s sudden shift from barking-dog weapons inspector to pro-Saddam documentarian, I’d say it’s a ridiculously strong possibility. Of course, the media never touched it. Nor did they ever explore why in the world a weapons inspector with no film-making credentials was given hundreds of thousands of dollars to make a propaganda film for a mass murdering dictator.
She’s likely got some cushy staff job in DC now...
There is something uniquely pathetic about this scenario at both ends of the communication spectrum.
Had something similar happen back when I first sarted using ICQ in 1995.
Had someone claiming to be a 15 year old girl in Canada beep me.
Said some bizarre stuff in a similar vein.
I queried ‘her’ about her school grades, told ‘her’ to work hard in school.
I sounded very fatherly and ‘boring’ I was told.
And that was that... now you have me wondering.
I haven’t used ICQ in years.
Ah yes, the little details that mean ‘Oh So Much’... he heh heh.
Scott has gotta be trying to swallow his own undies in a suicide attempt by now.
I have a mental image of a cartoony Scott Ritter opening the door to the child prison and then doing a happy dance to angelic horns and rainbows in his own mind.
I recall hearing that bit of info and Ritters excuse for hiding it.
Probably several children there were his personal gifts from the Baath party.

Today, these are the leftist ideologs who spent the last 30 years in goverment and academia, dismantling (destabilizing) our Constitution and the moral foundations of society. This is the hippy generation - the first wave of baby boomers. Note the timing: it is this generation that has now come into retirement age... the age at which the quality and accessibility of healthcare becomes paramount.
Now that the destabilization phase is complete, these aging hippies have become useless feeders. Obamacare (denialcare, death panels) is the modern-day passive-aggressive equivalent of "lined up against the wall and shot."
I remember back in 1998, when the Iraqis kicked out the UN inspectors, and Ritter ranted about how they were hiding WMDs, that Saddam’s regime was up to no good, etc. Fast-forward four years later in 2002 in the run-up to the invasion, and there was Ritter, now on Saddam’s payroll, ranting in the other direction... “no WMDs!” he said.
It was all about who was stroking his paycheck. What a friggin’ tool.
