He was such a purdy talker, too.
There is something uniquely pathetic about this scenario at both ends of the communication spectrum.
I remember back in 1998, when the Iraqis kicked out the UN inspectors, and Ritter ranted about how they were hiding WMDs, that Saddam’s regime was up to no good, etc. Fast-forward four years later in 2002 in the run-up to the invasion, and there was Ritter, now on Saddam’s payroll, ranting in the other direction... “no WMDs!” he said.
It was all about who was stroking his paycheck. What a friggin’ tool.
Didn’t he get some kind of money (bribe) from Saddam for making a movie about Iraq?
Can any human be lower than this guy?
When he was an inspector in Iraq, Ritter was offered a bribe (money) by Saddam but Ritter refused and reported it to his superiors. At the time, Ritter believed that Saddam had WMDs. But, later Ritter flipped completely and became a Saddam supporter. Keep in mind that one of Saddam’s sons was a pedophile who kidnapped young girls and abused them in a rape room. Could it be that Ritter was bribed with a key to the rape room, and that was much more appealing to him than mere money? You make the call.
Maybe he can run for Congress in Mass, perfect fit!
A piece from 2003 on the possibility Ritter was being blackmailed by Saddam:
“Ritters access to the media was never based on his message. Harry the Hippie has the same message, and may be even more articulate, but Ritter had man-bites-dog appeal. He was an outspoken hard-line inspector who transformed suddenly into a rather forceful apologist, and thus became instant producer-bait. Lacking that context, he was just some guy with something to say. This is why it is hard to compartmentalize man from message. The alleged sex scandal does not directly challenge the substance of Ritters views, but it does call into question his legitimacy. And not because someone who may go to chat rooms looking for liaisons with underage girls cannot have a valid political message I guess but because the behavior could be directly linked to why the message changed. The sex story mostly because it is a sex story, and of a particularly unfashionable type will keep Ritter an in-demand media property, but for the wrong reasons. And it makes him less bankable for the peace movement, since they wouldnt want to be tainted by association (that is, with someone possibly turned by the Iraqis. I am sure to them the other alleged thing falls under lifestyle choice).”

This is another example of some of the wacko’s who we have working in our intelligence community. Think about some of the incompetents and nitwits that have been responsible for counterterrorism and it is scary.

This guy will not get off easy in Pennsylvania. We do not like sexual abusers of children here. We have tough juries who hand out hefty sentences for pervs like Ritter.
Just recently, a kiddie porn-loving priest got handed 6 to 72 months in a State Prison for his perversions:
