Who thinks he or she needs to go to the grocery store with a loaded firearm?

Ummm..

Me.

My wife.

About a half dozen of my friends.

This hoplophobic Jewish lady (ironic, no?) needs to get out more.

A classic example of the hypocrisy of the left. The greatest concern of this writer seems to be the ease with which so many criminals subvert the legal system, thereby keeping a relatively clean record and maintaining the ability to carry concealed. Of course it is often due to the efforts of bleeding hearts that criminals are walking the streets today, their records of felonious activity reduced to misdemeanors or expunged entirely. Moreover, contrary to her claims, residents of Kentucky, for example, who have been convicted of even MISDEMEANOR domestic abuse may NOT carry concealed. This is made quite clear in the law. The writer is a standard representative of the leftist mind set...because evil people exist, all must sacrifice their rights.

I do. I also pack when I attend church.

As do I, and several of my fellow congregants. We will protect the innocent from those who would harm us when we are worshiping God.

You have no idea how often I'm walking through a store and realize the bayonet on my Mosin 91/30 is peeking out from under my coat.

CHEERS!

Love my Mosin-Nagants. Got 7.62x54R coming out our ears in our family!

Now before you National Rifle Association types get your undies in a bunch,

Ah, yes. The obligatory insult from an antigun article.

"Nobody is going to take your little guns" is the assholish, condescending sentence I've come to expect from the "I know better than you" crowd. Her sentence was but a variation of the theme.

She can FOAD.

My problem with carrying concealed weapons is that the wrong people invariably carry them.

Translation: Conservatives.

Yes, and when she most needs them they will be rusted out or she won’t remember how to load and fire them - GOOD PLAN!

Great way to eliminate your DNA from the Gene pool.

Who thinks she needs to go to the grocery store with a loaded firearm? Being able to defend herself?

Does this airhead realize that the Criminals of our society don’t have restrictions on where they can strike?

Does this airhead realize that you won’t know when you may need it and so that's why you would carry in a grocery store, city street, parking lot, etc….

Who thinks she needs to go to the grocery store with a flashlight?

Who thinks she needs to go to the grocery store with a pocket knife or utility tool?

Who thinks she needs to have a first aide kit in her car?

Who thinks she needs to have a fire extinguisher in her car?

Who thinks she needs to have a flashlight in her car?

Who thinks she needs to have a shovel in her car?

Who thinks she needs to have a crowbar in her car?

Who thinks she needs to have a chains in her car?

All of those items are in case of emergency and no one bats and eye about them except guns, what’s up with that?

“Who thinks he or she needs to go to the grocery store with a loaded firearm? “

Indeed. And who goes to the movie theater expecting to be attacked by a mob?

“MANATEE, Fla. (AP) — A group of unruly teenagers attacked a 27-year-old Marine and his wife who had asked them to be quiet during a Christmas night showing of “Little Fockers.” The attack happened as the couple left the theater near Bradenton Saturday night. Authorities say the fight attracted about 300 bystanders.

Federico Freire, home on leave from Afghanistan, says they left the theater shortly after the teens were asked to leave. The couple was kicked and punched in the parking lot before a gun-brandishing witness told the crowd to step back just before deputies arrived.”

With Wisconsin's tea party in full, florid swing and moving to Madison, we can expect an attempt to legislate a strong concealed firearm carry permitting system to rear its little bullet head.

Aren't snarky little liberals just SO precious when they're trying to pretend they're superior?

Chisholm's initiative would embrace a strict permitting process, relying heavily on a review of the applicant's criminal record. Nice idea in theory, but bogus in practice and reality. First, we all know the Garbage In, Garbage Out theory of data management. This applies to the information fed into the national, state and local criminal databases as well. Arrests are omitted...

Yeah, the left's all about civil liberties like the presumption of innocence, till those uppity conservatives think they get to use them too!

There are some very nasty people out there with only misdemeanor records who are extremely violent but who have no felony record. In fact, sometimes it is because they are so violent that they have avoided a felony record by intimidating witnesses against them. This is particularly true when it comes to domestic abusers, who in 2009 committed 68% of their homicides with firearms. This group is legally permitted to buy, carry and possess weapons.

Uh, Mrs. Journoskank? People with domestic violence misdemeanor convictions are already barred by federal law from mere possession. There's no way they're going to be in line to get a CCW. The ones that respect laws won't bother, and the ones that don't respect laws, well, won't bother.
