I hope you are right but I just don’t believe it. Every day blacks and other minorities in this metropolis die in horrible ways - many self-inflicted. And I can assure you - no one in Manhattan gives a damn.

In our defense, when someone falls, trips or collapses IN FRONT OF US, no one is more responsive than NYers. Then we are a kind-hearted people. But a poor woman in Brooklyn who we don’t know personally?

I so hope you are right!

On WOR today, they interviewed the attorneys for someone who died due to EMS being unable to get through. They are going to subpoena the time records of the sanit dept and compare this storm to past storms - great tactic - looks like the union is in deep doodoo...

Why would a mere “outrage” need to be investigated? Call it an outrage, collect all that political capital for the next election, and move on.

But if it might be a criminal act, then an investigation is in order.

On FBN, a former defense attorney said they can’t win this because the cause is still the storm.

Sucks, but it sounds like this is a dead end for the family.

This seems unfair to me, but they were confident on FBN that the family had no avenue for it to win in the courts.

Maybe the city will voluntarily pay something. It seems to me, that would be right thing to do. I can’t imagine them getting off Scott-free.

So much for the prospective presidential candidate for the “No Labels” movement.

It’s not going to be a defense attorney on Fox Business who is going to decide who wins in the courts, it will be a mostly-Black jury in Brooklyn.

Point taken!, you may be right.

I thought the Judge has to authorize the lawsuit and discovery though before it got to the Jury.

>The people of the city voted him in and deserve getting screwed.

Amen. LOL!

Loved how first he dissed the people for daring to complain!

Rudy as POTUS? no way. But I’d take him for mayor over Bloomie in a heartbeat. In fact, he should do a Jerry Brown and run again. Of course, I live nowhere near NYC so that’s easy for me to say.

The City might be judgment-proof but what about the union?

He always makes up his mind before the investigation. Guess what, Mayor Bloombird, you are now at the point where people think the opposite must be true if you say something.

I don’t support Rudy in the next election - I think you have me mixed up with someone else (although I loved him as Mayor of my great city). I support Sarah for Prez.

Sure they can sue. They also have a pretty good case for negligence IMHO. The city had several days to prepare for a Christmas snowstorm that was forecast to last 24 hours. Bloomberg had the bike lanes in Manhattan cleared before the streets in the outer boroughs where cops, fireman, nurses, etc. live and raise their families. Whether it was intentional mischief or incompetence, this administration will have to pay one way or another. Heads are going to roll.

I miss Rudy like mad. Too bad he screwed up his personal life so that he is essentially unelectable because the man knew how to cut to the chase and solve problems.

It was probably some guy mad at the new health care law that dumped the snow back on the road as soon as the plows left.
