Will you be moving to France when Palin becomes POTUS?

All this tells me is that politics is as much about fads as anything else.

All I know about Christie is that he is apparently a hard-liner on fiscal matters and not afraid to express himself with some candor. I have read some brief blurbs that he is not conservative when it comes to Second Amendment issues and some social issues. This would make him a pretty typical northeastern, left-leaning member of the GOP.

When Scott Brown was elected there was a bunch to talk about a presidential run. In the wake of some votes he has made since then all that talk has evaporated and now he is generally referred to as a RINO. Ditto Arnold after he won the governorship. There were more than a few on these very threads who wanted to amend the Constitution to allow him to run for president. But then time passed and reality intervened and Arnold has been exposed as the leftist Republican that he always was.

Stay sober folks. And be patient.

"Christie is a rino."
Obviously. It's NEW JERSEY!
Geez, you're not just a "glass half-empty" kind of guy, but a "OMG! The glass is broken and I cut myself and I think I need stitches and maybe a tetanus shot and there will probably be permanent nerve damage" kind of guy.

This is it.

You can call off the primaries.

Palin is going to walk away with it, I doubt Huckabee or Romney even run at this point.

She’s already acting as a shadow president. She alone can sway the public discourse with a single facebook post or tweeter.

The evidence is the non-stop reliance on ridiculous polls that are less than meaningless. Only morons and imbeciles would believe the nonsense now coming out as legitimate polling.

It’s over.

That was easy.

Welcome Madame President!

Not just the health issues.

He simply doesn't look Presidential. I know that it is silly to pick a President because he looks like a news anchor - but it is also silly to make up your mind on who you are going to vote for based upon 1 minute advertisements on the TV - and that is what most Americans do.

Also, he is very conservative..... for New Jersey. For the Republican base, once they got to know his positions on actual issues, they wouldn't accept him as genuinely conservative.

Sort of the “Scott Brown” effect. After he won (and he had that news anchor look!) there were even FReepers (who should have known better) chiming in with “Scott Brown for President”.

That enthusiasm took a cold shower when they realized he was STILL a Senator from Massachusetts.... a.k.a. more liberal than most.

I agree with you on Christie. I love his style, but he is not good on the social issues or immigration.

Yes, he's great for New Jersey. And I like him, too, for NJ. I wish every blue state had a governor like Christie, but I wouldn't want any of them to be president.

Michele Bachmann is running (or so her insiders say) so don’t count your chickens. Michele will kill Palin in the debates. In fact, I can’t wait to see it. Michele is the adult that will take over the white House. Although Sarah will continue to assist on Fox News which is seriously very helpful.

Your fetish with Al Waleed is ridiculous. The Chinese and the Japanese own most of our debt. All those sources you cite control just as many news sources on the internet as they do broadcast outlets. Take a look at the threads and where the posters get their content.

Your strange, anti-American BS that everyone here in the States is just sitting, vacantly staring at the magic box, being controlled by everything told to them. You have absolutely ZERO understanding of our country.

This is understandable from someone who lives on a strange Big Gov’t island with the population of one medium mid-western city in the US. Your countries big export is Haddock. A fish.

Once again you cannot tell me why TV is evil and the other is not, making me think you are some sort of FR troll instigator.

I love Michele Bachmann.

But America doesn’t get it’s presidents from the House of Representatives.

The Presidency is an executive position and legislators tend to make poor executives unless they have some experience making hard decisions that they alone are responsible for. Members of the House are just one vote out of hundreds, and if you’re in a safe district it is easy to remain ideologically pure.

I’d like you to name a policy issue that Palin and Bachmann disagree on, because they are ideologically nearly identical. If it comes down to choosing between them, I would rather go with the one with almost 20 years of executive experience and has a history of rooting out corruption in both parties and balancing budgets while reducing taxes and cutting spending, thanks anyway.

Some have suggested Bachmann is only floating her name to take some of the heat off Sarah, as they are also very close friends. I guess the sophisticated term is ‘stalking horse.’ We’ll see.

I seriously doubt they both run.

I think that Sarah has no intentions to run. I suspect that she thinks that she can do the conservative cause more good by continuing to do what she is currently doing.

And 'conservatives' want this guy promoted to PRESIDENT?

I'll take him (and Mickey Mouse) over Crazy Commie Corzine and any other RAT, for Gov of NJ. BUT, .... President???
