According to a memo obtained by Fox News with information compiled by the Department of Homeland Security and released to state law enforcement officials, Jared Loughner, the alleged shooter of Congressman Gabrielle Giffords, may have been influenced by a pro-white racist organization that publishes an anti-immigration newsletter.
No direct connection, but strong suspicion is being direceted at American Renaissance, an organization that Loughner mentioned in some of his internet postings and federal law enforcement officials are investigating Loughner's possible links to the organization. The organization is a monthly publication that promotes a variety of white racial positions.
Further, the suspect's mother works for the Pime County Board of Supervisors.

Here is the Fox Article which needs to be archived in full, like many other important pieces of evidence that will show the trail of misinformation. It is likely to be memeory-holed soon, I think.
Fox has not distinguished themselves with this episode, at all.
According to a law enforcement memo based on information provided by DHS and obtained by Fox News, Jared Loughner, the alleged shooter of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, may have been influenced by a pro-white racist organization that publishes an anti-immigration newsletter.
No direct connection, but strong suspicion is being direceted at American Renaissance, an organization that Loughner mentioned in some of his internet postings and federal law enforcement officials are investigating Loughner’s possible links to the organization. The organization is a monthly publication that promotes a variety of white racial positions.
“The group’s ideology is anti government, anti immigration, anti ZOG (Zionist Occupational Government), anti Semitic,” according to the memo which goes on to point out that Congressman Giffords is the first Jewish female elected to high office in Arizona. A recent posting on American Renaissance’s website on January 7 begins with an article entitled: “Exit poll: Whites are Different.” The site goes on to list anti-immigration articles. Investigators are also pursuing Loughner’s alleged anti-Semitism.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken command of the investigation.
According to the memo, Federal Judge John Roll’s wife told law enforcement that he was not supposed to be at the rally but was called an hour beforehand and decided to attend at the last minute. Roll reportedly ruled on a controversial 32 million dollar civil rights lawsuit in February 2010 that elicited death threats for him and his family resulting in added security detail being assigned to him as a result.
Further, the suspect’s mother works for the Pime County Board of Supervisors. The suspect reportedly has at least one arrest, but no criminal record, according to this internal memo based on information as of 6 pm Saturday night. Jared Loughner tried to enlist in the US Army in Dec 2008, according to Pentagon officials and Army records. He was rejected but the Army would not give the reason due to privacy laws. Loughner was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in 2007.
I don’t believe white racists would have him - loughner was Jewish.
Pima College Statement on shooter.
oops, forgot to H/T Freeper winoneforthegipper
Who wrote the memo? It is fascinating that law enforcement / DHS had anyway to link the shooter with Amren. What was this based on?
It is also interesting that their description of Amren is completely wrong. Amren are not anti-semites. They do not have articles about ZOG, or write about Zionism, or allow negative comments about Jews to be posted on their web site.
They are also not a membership organization, and unlike Free Republic do not offer accouts and home pages for anyone. To say one is linked to AmRen would be like saying someone is "linked to the New York times" who reads a story there and perhaps mentions it on their blog.
Put bluntly, while the AmRen crowd might have disagreeable ideas they in no way resemble the picture that has been painted of them.
The whole linking of them smells to high-heaven as a disinformation operation.
Fox News needs to make the memo public, so that we can evaluate who is the misguided person making these absurd claims and tying the shooter to an organization tha he likely has nothing to do with.
Don't think that whoever is behind this won't target FR in a similar way in some future incident. This may well be a trial balloon, and we need to understand who the propaganda masters are pulling the strings.
It's actually modern conservatism's soft underbelly...accuse those who disagree on identity issues of being racists or anti-semites
I can't speak for any of these folks ..maybe they are all that...just awful folks and all..but the issues of keeping England English or wondering aloud what happens here in the US when we eventually become a mostly Hispanic or non white majority nation are worth discussing rationally
just look at southern Africa to check out the proof in the pudding of going non white...it ain't pretty
and don't get me started on Islamification...a huge issue in Europe
but some folks will hear none of it....Beck called Gert Wilders a fascist racist...just for starters
not that all whites (Christians and a few Jews) are great but their vote is all that keeps us clinging to the edge of the abyss...everyone else is basically leftist voting...exceptions Viets, Sikhs , Cubans and Christian Arabs..
I think this boy was simply a nut...and ideologically everywhere...typical dumbassed kid except psychotic
Why does FR think they are racists and delete links to their site? I don’t get it.
Maybe a mix of spinelessness and dishonesty?
Fox News systematically dumped on Wilders, one of the bravest men in the world.

“This is the post of the year!!! Great response!!”
If it is post of the year, it must also be the post of the decade!
I am sorry I left you with the impression I was disagreeing with you. I just adding to what you said. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I agree about American Renaissance.
I’ll bet the administrators of this website disagree, however. You’d probably get banned if you tried to link to them.
