Fruit of the poisonous tree

Big Moutho El Sheriffo is likely providing an out for the defense attorneys and highly-paid shrink ($1500 a day plus here 12 years ago!) defense witnesses

A Judge needs to tell El Sheiffo that he will be fined and tossed in the clink for blabbing and babbleing non-stop

Defense will demand change of venue, use El Sheriffo’s TV vids as evidence in court

Killer’s mommy works for a gov. agency there I believe - but I could be wrongo

We still have the CCW permits....useful if you want to carry in a state that has a reciprocity agreement. But if I stay in the state, I can carry concealed without any kind of permit. My favorite is the .357.

IOW, permits exist, but you don’t have to have one if you stay in AZ.

I did read that Garret has been having these outdoor townhalls for years. One mentioned 2007, another 2009. I imagine that will come to a stop for any others wo do it as it’s much more dangerous now.

It certainly sounds like the Sheriff opened his mouth way too wide!

I can’t believe he’s still going with this line “...vitriolic statements made night and day on radio and TV...” and dodges the question asked if there’s any evidence he listened to radio or tv.

Why do you need a lawyer Sheriff?

You’re the top cop in the county...unless you are a criminal yourself.

Dupnik has been flying below the radar screen for decades. What do you think he knows about drug smuggling, human trafficking and arms trafficking in Pima County over the past thirty years?

Since a Federal Judge was killed and a U.S. Congresswoman was injured in YOUR JURISDICTION, the entire case is now in Federal hands in Phoenix. You have no power to compromise this Federal Investigation. You’re entire Sheriff’s Department is going to be TOSSED...BIG TIME!!!

YOU, Sheriff Dupnik are guilty of criminal negligence in this matter. Judge Roll had received repeated death threats, yet YOU did nothing.

Why?

Don’t worry though...you’re minions and subordinates are already cutting deals with the Feds.

Goodbye Mr. Dupnik...Have a nice day.

Why didn’t the Pima County Sheriff do something about Jered Loughlen - he must’ve known that Jared had a gun, as his office had to approve the background clearance for its purchase in the first place.

If Loughlin had not applied for a CCW, I believe that Loughlin would only be required to submit to the Federal NICS check. If that is the case, the county would have no jurisdiction in approval of a firearm purchase.

Jared had convictions for drug use — why did the Sheriffs office approve the purchase?

The county diversion program likely eliminated the record of the conviction.

Amy and Randy Loughlen are Jared’s parents. His mother is a county employee. She works for Parks and Recreation in the Natural Resources Department. Is the fact she is a fellow employee of the county play a role in Sheriff Dupnik not pursuing charges against Jared for threatening people?

The question I’m concerned with is this: were the Loughlens cut some slack by the Sheriff’s office because of their politics, maybe they’re Democratic Party activists, or because their son was mentally ill?

Amy Loughlin being a county employee is an interesting development in this story. Also, I was very curious if the College Police Department had shared any of their reports with the county as to Jared Loughlin's issues with the college regarding his menacing behavior. Any prior knowledge by the Sheriff's Office would be very bad.

Should Pima County Sheriff Clarence W. Dupnik be recalled?

This Sheriff is using this unspeakable tragedy to further his own political agenda. This is clearly a misuse of his office.

He is deliberately misleading the general public as to the cause and nature of yesterday’s attack and is, by his own words, furthering the climate of hatred, vitriol and violence by this obscene falsehood.

He is unworthy of his office.

ARTICLE VIII. REMOVAL FROM OFFICE

PART 1. RECALL OF PUBLIC OFFICERS

§ 1. Officers subject to recall; petitioners
Section 1. Every public officer in the state
of Arizona, holding an elective office, either by
election or appointment, is subject to recall from
such office by the qualified electors of the
electoral district from which candidates are
elected to such office. Such electoral district may
include the whole state. Such number of said
electors as shall equal twenty-five per centum of
the number of votes cast at the last preceding
general election for all of the candidates for the
office held by such officer, may by petition, which
shall be known as a recall petition, demand his
recall.

§ 2. Recall petitions; contents; filing;
signatures; oath
Section 2. Every recall petition must
contain a general statement, in not more than
two hundred words, of the grounds of such
demand, and must be filed in the office in which
petitions for nominations to the office held by the
incumbent are required to be filed. The
signatures to such recall petition need not all be
on the one sheet of paper, but each signer must
add to his signature the date of his signing said
petition, and his place of residence, giving his
street and number, if any, should he reside in a
town or city. One of the signers of each sheet of
such petition, or the person circulating such
sheet, must make and subscribe an oath on said
sheet, that the signatures thereon are genuine.

(D-PA) Congressman Paul Kanjorski on Gov.-Elect Rick Scott: “Shoot Him”

By Jeffrey Lord on 11.9.10 @ 10:09AM

Congressman Paul Kanjorski, the Pennsylvania Democrat who just lost his seat to Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta, a Republican, had another target on his mind before he lost his election.

Curiously, that would be Rick Scott, now the Republican Governor-elect of Florida.

(D-PA) Congressman Paul Kanjorski is clearly not a Scott fan. In fact, he has suggested that the Governor-elect should be shot.

You read that right. Here’s the quote, which seemed to vanish in the pre-election haze. It was reported at the time in the Scranton Times:

“That Scott down there that’s running for governor of Florida,” Mr. Kanjorski said. “Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him [sic](???) and shoot him.

Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he’s running for governor of Florida.

He’s a millionaire and a billionaire. He’s no hero. He’s a damn crook. It’s just we don’t prosecute big crooks.”

The people of Florida, apparently, have a slightly different view.....

He’s been Sheriff there FOREVER. He’d have to have been pulling the trigger to get recalled, or at least so he’d think.

The Chief should have been assigned better handlers, he’s coming off purely as a political hack, this never would have happened under the Clintons.

Worse, the FBI director couldn’t even look up when he pumped the narrative. It suggests the FBI director has some shame unlike the Chief, but follows orders none the less.

Someone else on another post made the same argument as you did here, and that other person quoted Arizona State law stating a requirement by Arizona for the County Sheriff to vouch that a person purchasing a firearm had no mental defects. OOPs!
