Number of Americans Who Say They Are Democrats Ties 22 Year Low

The fallen fortunes of the Democrats as the Republicans take control of the House and start the Senate session in a strengthened position is underlined by Gallup poll numbers that find the percentage of Americans who identify with the party has fallen to its lowest point in the 22 years.

Gallup says that in 2010 an average of 31 percent of Americans said they were Democrats, a number the party last hit in 1991. That's a five point drop from 2008 when Democrats notched their 22-year high of 36 percent.

And as soon as more of the Democrats realize that their party is closer to the communists party they will defect. Almost all of King Obama’s appointments in his Administration are confirmed communist. King Obama is a communists.

The current Democrat Party is not that of your father and grandfather. The radical socialists/Marxists have driven those folks out on the national and, to a degree, on the state level. The Democrat Party embodies and endorses the vilest of evils.

Important Lesson from 1995 Budget / Fed. Govt. Shutdown - Post #7

I remember an article after the last shutdown. It was one of the best articles I've ever read, and was about the politics of the shut down, from the perspective of a (fairly) young journalist. Among other things, he noted, the Republicans talk to us like it's a board meeting, like we're the enemy or one of their employees. The Democrats are salespeople. They throw us the spin, but in a self-depreciating way. Sometimes, when they say something, they grin a little, because they know it's BS, and they know we know it's BS, but they're always trying to make the sale.

The final line was the most telling, and this one I remember almost verbatim: "At 2 AM, Congress adjourned, no deal in sight. The Republicans went home, and the Democrats went to the fax machines." The Rats won the budget battle after they lost the budget battle because they understood that you have to win the battle for public perception AFTER the fact.

Economists Slam Barack Obama's Stimulus Package (Full Page Ad!)

According to Mr Biden: "Every economist... from conservative to liberal, acknowledges that direct government spending on a direct program now is the best way to infuse economic growth and create jobs."

Barack Obama said earlier this month that: "There is no disagreement that we need action by our government, a recovery plan that will help to jumpstart the economy."

But the economists who signed the advert, funded by the Cato Institute in Washington DC, say that: "we the undersigned do not believe that more government spending is a way to improve economic performance. More government spending by Hoover and Roosevelt did not pull the United States economy out of the Great Depression in the 1930s. More government spending did not solve Japan's "lost decade" in the 1990s."

Once elected, a Republican, just like a Democrat, has new goals that have nothing to do with principle. The new goal is to keep a power and enhance it. We work hard and elect our guys to office and they ain’t our guys any more. There is no representative government now because a politician’s welfare depends on the aristocracy of the government that he is elected to much more than to his “constituents.”   35 posted on 07/25/2010 5:54:23 PM PDT by arthurus (Read Hazlitt's "Economics In One Lesson.") They are also up against those in the Republican Party with their noses pressed up against the window, hoping to get a shot at the pot of money in the public trough. During the course of his research for "Solzhenitsyn: A Soul in Exile" (Harper Collins), Joseph Pearch traveled to Moscow to interview the writer. The excerpt below is from that interview:

Solzhenitsyn: "In different places over the years I have had to prove that socialism, which to many western thinkers is a sort of kingdom of justice, was in fact full of coercion, of bureaucratic greed and corruption and avarice, and consistent within itself that socialism cannot be implemented without the aid of coercion. Communist propaganda would sometimes include statements such as, 'we include almost all the commandments of the Gospel in our ideology.' The difference is that the Gospel asks all this to be achieved through love, through self-limitation, but socialism only uses coercion. This is one point.

The richest in our country are in bed with the Democrats. They run new programs, such as green projects, cheap housing, and medical care, get money from the government to run them, then the richest give money back to our representatives. The American middle class and newly rich are taxed for the profit of the Democrats and super-rich who vote for them. Meanwhile they do it out of the tyranny of being “nice” to the unfortunate of the country. Kleptocracy with a friendly face. More and more Republicans are falling under this corruption, too. The Search for 2012 Delegates - (GOP & Dem)

When looking forward to the presidential primaries, it is customary for people to focus on picking their favorite candidate(s).

For 2012, I think that there should be an equal focus on finding and electing suitable delegates for the national conventions. The concept of a `brokered' convention is always thought of as being an undesirable situation. Why is that? Since we have a representative republic, let's work the system, and let the system work. Candidates have a lot of work to do during the primary process. However, I think that during the primaries, the search for suitable delegates should be the "main event". When I go to vote in the primary election of 2012, I want to vote for a delgate(s), not a "candidate".

People who have experience in politics and government may have something to offer us. But look at how many experienced old-timers (& a newcomer or 2) are failing and betraying us, and harming the states and the country. And in elections, for some of us, "Candidate Worship" is worn out, - so yesterday. And, when looking for leaders, delegates and candidates, we should NOT look ONLY to the 'ruling class'.

With a focus on delegates, more people will have to get involved and take responsibility for the political and campaign process, for developing both our domestic and foreign policy, for the proper role and function of government, and for the future of this republic.

How is the best way to say this...? By putting the focus on the search for delegates, - in the civic, political and government process, you are immediately expanding and greatly improving the talent pool for now and the future. Hopefully, it terms of character, policy, and leadership, the roster for both the farm clubs and the major leagues is improved. An expanded roster of quality leaders; - think in terms of `a mile wide, and a mile deep'. A Win-Win result.

Obama's template for losing an election can be seen in Kenya, November, 2007. That is why he wants Waters and Rangel gone from their boroughs, he intends for black America to rise up against the white establishment if the left loses. Rangel and Waters will not go along with that radical approach, black Americans have burned down their neighborhoods all too often. Rangel and Waters do not want it. Obama wants them gone, and replaced with firebrands similar to Stokely Carmichael

We can see the beginning shape of his lost election plan.

2010 Election - Conservative / Tea Party success -

Downside - Here in the west, we saw some conservative confusion, betrayal and failure. For Arizona, California, and Nevada; - this was the Bermuda Triangle disaster of the 2010 elections.

In Nevada, the conservatives made a proper endorsement of Sharon Angle. But why should the moderate or the Democrat voters of Nevada take an interest in replacing their incumbent US Senator, when the GOP voters in Arizona weren't going to replace theirs?

In the California GOP primary, conservative and prolife leaders decided to go ahead with elective surgery. Yes, they made their choice and preformed a ~theraputic abortion~ of Chuck DeVore.

If the California conservative and prolife leaders abandoned a conservative candidate early in the process, why should anyone expect the moderate or Democrat voters in Nevada to vote for a solid conservative candidate?

With the success of the Tea Party, maybe we can avoid this fiasco in 2012. ...although we missed a golden opportunity in 2010.

...More to write - Going beyond "what" happened, to why. ... The strong leftist influence in our society and government. The GOP could oppose it, but they are divided. GOP's moderate / `maverick' / sometimes leftist leaders and candidates who sacrifice basic principles to avoid controversy and to be accepted by the media. ...// Conservatives who can write an ABUNDANCE of books, but can't seem to develop a workable plan. So in 2010 AZ/CA, were they in desperation mode?

Across the country, we saw positive results. Now in 2011 / 2012, maybe we can get a plan, work together, and avoid another AZ/CA style fiasco.

When stated with proper precision, I understand and agree with this view. Sadly, such precision is rarely in evidence these days. This was not so when the Constitution was written.

THE TWO COWS
Here is an explanation of the rules of the world
in simple two-cow terms:
* Socialism: You have two cows. You keep one and give one to your neighbor.

* Communism: You have two cows. The government takes them both and provides you with milk.

* Fascism: You have two cows. The government takes them and sells you the milk.

* Government Bureaucracy: You have two cows. The government takes them both, shoots one, milks the other, pays you for the milk, and then pours it down the drain.

* Corporate: You have two cows. You sell one to make the stockholders happy, force the other to produce the milk of four cows and then act surprised when it drops over dead.

* Democrats: You have two cows. The democrats tax you to the point that you must sell them both in order to support a man who has only one cow which was a gift from your government.

* Capitalism: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.

Those things above are what should be coming out of all Republicnans’ mouths every time there is a microphone in front of them or they are on the TV political talk shows. Put the Democrats on the defensive. - 10 by avacado

... and below...

"The son of the worst vice president ever may think he has some wisdom on the job performance of political leaders, but if he thinks a president whose actions have saved the country from a second Great Depression, reformed a broken health care system and protected consumers from the risk and greed of Wall Street merits such mention, his analysis is only slightly less ridiculous than his candidacy for public office is," said [the Dem cand.] (continued)

Well, let's see... Avoided second great depression by forcing nearly ten percent of the workforce into not even bothering to look for a job anymore. Buys off another tenth of the workforce with a nearly neverending stream of unemployment checks, while at the same time spending trillions to feed unions and public employees. Reformed the health care system? I've yet to see word one from the Feds on how this is actually supposed to work, and I'm sure there's quite a few people working hard on trying to figure that out right now. But you can be sure that we'll get taxed more, given less service, and get to support tens of millions of others who can't be bothered to spend $70 a month for their own health insurance by paying five to seven times that much out of the taxpayer's pockets.

And Wall Street reform? I mean, come on, who the bleep cares. I can change bankers, I can lose money on investments, if they wanted real reform they'd say 'Hey, you're on your own.' Instead the worst is still out there, feeding on us like the prey we are, IE: public employees, who are slowly bankrupting us with ever increasing demands for salaries, benefits and retirement deals. If the Federal Government had to follow the same rules as Wall Street, the dollar would be a delisted penny stock. 11 by kingu (Favorite Sticker: Lost hope, and Obama took my change.)

Ah, typical lib tactic - personal attack when you have no good argument. What his father did or did not do in office has absolutely no bearing on his qualifications, or his freedom to criticize hussein. Really, I'd like this guy to tell me why he wrote this, how this in any way addresses the issue. It really is just a personal attack, and reflects worse on him than the candidate.

...a president whose actions have saved the country from a second Great Depression,

You lie. Even the administration's own economists put the effect of porkus at only about 2 to 3% GDP. That's the optimistic ones. The recession took something like 2 to 4% out of the economy. Economists generally say it takes a 10% dip in GDP to qualify as a depression. So by their own numbers, even if porkus hadn't happened, we would've been no-where near a depression. hussein and his cohorts in crime took advantage of another crisis, that's all.

...reformed a broken health care system

Wow, two lies in one. First, the health care system wasn't broken. Widely recognized as the best health care in the world. Second, their so-called "reform" wasn't a reform at all. In fact it isn't even much about health care or health care insurance. It is about power and control. Our health care suffering is just collateral damage.

...protected consumers from the risk and greed of Wall Street...

Oh, we're protected all right. Yes, business will look for opportunities to make money. But don't worry, they won't be looking to consumers - the government is confiscating all our money via taxes and imposed fees and mandatory purchases of "insurance." 15 by ThunderSleeps (obama out now! by Mere Survival - I’ve only lived as an American and never have had to face martyrdom as a possibility. How did this happen so fast?

I’m watching those Martenson videos, which is why I didn’t respond until now. They are good and do help to explain our situation in a VERY clear way. The one comment I will make so far is this (and I’m up to 17 out of 20, so I haven’t seen the whole) is that Martenson seems to use the labor theory of value which is well discredited, and this theory of value will make the economic situation appear impossible to escape from (run for the hills kind of impossible). Reality is that value is not labor. 10 seconds of a genius’ thought coming up with the piston (or whatever great and grand invention you want to picture) is worth astronomical sums. 1000 hours of me laboring as a visual artist has a value approaching 0. It’s a trap in thinking, in my opinion; it is what the Marxists used in their economics and it leads to a mental cul-de-sac that doesn’t see the possibilities of free market economics, and sees only the grinding drudgery.

That said, I’ve learned a lot from Martenson so far, and he’s well worth watching. Video 16 showing how the government has altered the economic statistics to fool us is amazing. The overall theme of geometric progression in finances is scary and rings true.

(The Crash Course seeks to provide you with a baseline understanding of the economy so that you can better appreciate the risks that we all face. The Intro below is separated from the rest of the sections because you'll only need to see it once...it tells you about how the Crash Course came to be.

How long will it take? Chapters are between 3 and 20 minutes in length. All 20 sections take 3 hours and 23 minutes to watch in full. If you are interested in a quick summary of the Crash Course, watch our 45-Minute Crash Course presentation by [clicking here].

The United States Constitution was signed in 1789

FR Golden Gate -For Life- collage

.

And, part 2 below, w/o the pics.

The United States Constitution was signed in 1789, but the United States Charter was signed in 1776.
It properly observes that our United States owes observance to the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God
— and to our Creator endowed Right to Life.

If Congress has no place to protect the Right to Life, it has no foundation.

FreeRepublic.com (unspun) - 2/26/08

Point / Counterpoint // or, saying the same thing...?

The Constitution makes it abundantly clear that the PRIMARY role of a President is to protect the country. That is the reason he is made commander-in-chief and the reason, other than declaring war which is reserved for Congress, why the Constitution provides wide latitude to the office of President toward the military and for handling foreign affairs.

Every other duty of the President is subservient to that role as defender of our nation and its people.

I believe he does not respect the Constitution and recognize truly what role the office is given by it.
(excerpts, from ...(The Constitution says main duty of POTUS) - FR 1-22-09: by bestintxas)

To: bestintxas

The President’s role is to protect and defend the Constitution. Not to create a nanny state and take away my rights.

If it’s the role of gov’t to keep us safe then throw away the ideas of driving, having guns, raising kids and playing football.

It is my job to keep myself safe and exercise my rights.

We shall see what happens in the future, but being ‘safe’ is not a right.

3 - FR 1-22-09: by BGHater (Tyranny is always better organised than freedom)

To: BGHater

My interpretation is that the Constitution spells out the Government's role to keep Americans safe from foreign entities and secondly to keep Americans safe from an intrusive federal Government.

As a country, we are failing on the latter and let’s all hope we don’t on the former, or we are lost forever.

The primary function of any just government is to prevent and punish the taking of innocent human life. To but state the proposition is to prove it.

Nevertheless, 36 years ago today, in the tradition of Scott v. Sanford, the Supreme Court of the United States took it upon themselves to declare that a certain class of humans were not really humans at all. In Dred Scott, the Supreme Court declared that certain humans were not humans and therefore could be enslaved. In Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court declared that certain humans were not humans and therefore not entitled to have government prevent or punish their unjust killing. Worse, that the government was constitutionally prevented from preventing or punishing their unjust killing.

Take a stand, even if you never have before. Pray, grieve for the lost children, find something to do to help.

To: bert

Here's a deal for you. I'll donate twenty bucks to Darwin Central if you can give me a coherent, innocent explanation of Terri's "collapse" that fits all the known facts.

How did Terri, who was in bed asleep, suddenly end up on a hallway floor, in cardiac arrest, completely unresponsive, and suffering massive anoxic ischemic encephalopathy, along with a broken back, rib fractures and a bone bruise on her right thigh -- right after Michael got home late one Saturday night?

30 posted on 05/03/2007 by T'wit

His cruelties are everywhere. Killing Terri's cats, even when the vet said he could find new homes for them. Stealing her wedding rings to make jewelry for himself -- has he no heart? Controlling her, checking her mileage, putting her down all the time, spending her money, cheating on her.

When he denied all therapy to her, he denied all hope to her. At the hospice he wouldn't let her go outside. She spent the last five years of her life without ever seeing or feeling the sun.

He wouldn't let her have flowers or greeting cards or religious medallions or soft stuffed animals. He wouldn't let her take Holy Communion. He wouldn't let her have ice chips in her mouth as he was cruelly killing her by dehydration. He wouldn't let her have a Christian burial.

He took all her money, her liberty and her life.

Jodi, you just wait till the money runs out.

Fresno, CA (LifeNews.com) -- Twelve days after she was initially denied food and water, a California court ruled that Janet Rivera is entitled to the nutrition and hydration that a guardian revoked. Rivera is the latest disabled patient like Terri Schiavo to draw the attention of pro-life advocates because of her plight.
Rivera lost her right to food and water on July 14 when a court-appointed guardian removed her feeding tube despite her family's wishes...

As David Gibbs, the lawyer for Terri's parents, has pointed out, there has been a manifest need for a new federal, Fourteenth Amendment review of the case because Terri's death sentence has been based on seven years of "fatally flawed" state court findings_all based on the invincible neglect of elementary due process by Judge George Greer.

#16 - Exactly. And an incredible amount of misinformation has been spread about this case.
The fact is that Terri never indicated she wanted to die, much less be dehydrated. She never had a lawyer, and Greer denied her due process while catering to Michael Schiavo. The sadistic stunts Michael pulled on her and her family is too long to list.

As the Left breaks down the self-discipline of Judeo-Christian religions, more and more laws are needed simply to keep people from devouring each other.
- Dennis Prager, Sept. 20, 2005 -

The Founders’ definition of “happiness” came from Sir William Blackstone’s 1765 biblically based definition:

“[God] has so intimately connected, so inseparably interwoven the laws of eternal justice with the happiness of each individual, that the latter cannot be attained but by observing the former; and, if the former be punctually obeyed, it can not but induce the latter.”

Happiness and eternal justice (obedience to God’s law in creation) are inseparable. The founders of our nation understood “happy” to mean “blessed.” They knew that true happiness depends on one’s obedience to God’s commands (check out Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5). God’s commandments are not random demands, they are instructions from the One who made and sustains the universe.
