I visited a home that had a Newfie and the darned thing tried to sit in my lap (really, it thought it was a lap dog). Darned near broke my leg! Now that is dangerous. :-)

We have a Newfie too. And I agree. It is the least aggressive dog I have ever owned.

It is hard to imagine what could provoke him to be aggressive. Just wouldn’t happen.

The 2004 Westminster winner was a Newfie called Josh. I'll watch dog shows 'cuz my wife likes 'em, but his win was the coolest I've ever seen.
