The military started allowing women on combat ships about 15 years ago. For some reason they have been real quite about how many sexual harassment, medical or disciplinary problems they have had as a result. The numbers must be truly horrifying.

The Israelis had experience with women in combat in their 1948 war. They did not allow women in combat after that. I've read a number of articles on it. here's one.

What happens when you have women in combat is the men try to protect the women, at the expense of the mission. They will take risks to save women in trouble, resulting in a higher casualty rate. When women are killed, it has a much more serious impact on morale. Additionally, when women become casualties, the men become much more vengeful and liable to commit atrocities against the enemy in response.

I will mourn the day our women are commanded into full combat.It desecrates women, and is hardly necessary. We have plenty of able bodied straight men and queers to spare.

Only the Israelis have pulled off combat roles for women, simply beause they are dedicated, patriotic, and necessary, and women come from all over the world to serve there.Not entirely so in our country.IMHO that butchers bill would be too high to pay.
