Moseley Braun: Clinton 'betrays' blacks, Latinos
Chicago Tribune ^ | January 19, 2011

Posted on 01/19/2011 5:14:05 AM PST by SJackson

Mayoral candidate Carol Moseley Braun this morning sharply attacked former President Bill Clinton's endorsement of Rahm Emanuel, calling it "a betrayal to the people who were most loyal to him."

"President Bill Clinton does not live or vote in Chicago," said a statement issued by her campaign. "He's an outsider parachuting in to support another outsider. For him to come on the day following Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday to insert himself in the middle of a mayoral race, when the majority of the population and mayoral candidates are African American and Latino, is a betrayal of the people who were most loyal to him. It's a mistake."

Can these people even wipe their own nether regions without finding some reason to whine about racism?

In a regular War of the Spoiled-Brat Clintanoids with Bubba in the middle.

Highly entertaining.... except for those poor souls who actually live in Chicago.

So much for the admonition against the emphasis on skin color by Martin Luther King.

When is the last time Democrats supported a black candidate in a state election?

Jesse White, Secy of State, now in his third term.

So, what she is saying is that Chicago is a black town and white politicians are not welcome.

Used idiot lamenting the pandering to useful idiots for the benefit of their political rulers. Back to the back of the bus Carol. Do some community organizing for yourself.

I truly hope Carol becomes the mayor of Chicago.

She is the mayor they deserve.

It would be such sweet payback for foisting the usurper upon us.

Dear former Senator Moseley-Braun,

I know you’re not too quick on the uptake, so I’ll try to keep this simple:

Blacks are more anti-abortion than whites, but the opinion of radical feminists is more important to Democrats, so don’t expect that to matter;

Blacks are generally pro-military, especially those who have family members who have thrived in military service, but the opinion of far-left pacifists is more important to Democrats, so don’t expect that to matter;

Blacks suffer from lousy urban schools more than any other ethnic group, but the interests of the teacher’s unions are far more important to Democrats, so don’t expect that to matter;

Blacks are more loyal to the donkey party at the ballot box than any other constituency, but when it comes to something like the Chicago mayor’s race, the career of well-connected former Clinton butt-boy is far more important, so don’t expect that to matter either.

In other words, former Senator M-B, If you’re black and you’re a Democrat, get used to the back of the bus, because when push comes to shove, that’s where they expect you to be.

Once again, tribal self-identification trumps all.

What ever happened to Dr. King’s dream of an America where race was a non-issue?

Seems to me it’s become everything to the ruling class.

Good luck, Chicago. You’re going to need it.

I don’t have a problem with what she said. Emanuel’s ties with Chicago are really thin. After counting on A-A support for years, Clinton now flies in to support the Dem establishment candidate. It’s an example of Democrats screwing the people they count on for votes.

Chicago deserves to have her as their mayor. I am seriously thinking of contributing to her campaign.

But if it comes down to a contest between you and, say, Amos or Andy, you’re just another cracker.

Wow.
