~Favorite Name Song's~

Rock On - David Essex - 1973

Hey kid, rock and roll
Rock on, ooh, my soul
Hey kid, boogey too, did ya

Hey shout, summertime blues
Jump up and down in my blue suede shoes
Hey kid, rock and roll, rock on

And where do we go from here

Which is the way that's clear

Still looking for that blue jean, baby queen
Prettiest girl I ever seen
See her shake on the movie screen, Jimmy Dean
(James Dean)

And where do we go from here
Which is the way that's clear

Still looking for that blue jean, baby queen
Prettiest girl I ever seen
See her shake on the movie screen, Jimmy Dean
Jimmy Dean
Rock on
Rock on
Rock on

Hey, hey

Rock and roll
Rock on

Rock on
Hey, hey
Rock and roll
Rock on

Rock on
Hey, hey

Rock and roll
Rock on

Rock on
Hey, hey
Rock and roll
Rock on........

Lola-The Kinks

I met her in a club down in old Soho
Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry-cola [LP version: Coca-Cola]

See-oh-el-aye cola
She walked up to me and she asked me to dance
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said Lola
El-oh-el-aye Lola la-la-la-la Lola

Well I'm not the world's most physical guy
But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine
Oh my Lola la-la-la-la Lola
Well I'm not dumb but I can't understand

Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man
Oh my Lola la-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola

Well we drank champagne and danced all night
Under electric candlelight
She picked me up and sat me on her knee
And said dear boy won't you come home with me
Well I'm not the world's most passionate guy
But when I looked in her eyes well I almost fell for my Lola

La-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola
Lola la-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola
I pushed her away
I walked to the door
I fell to the floor
I got down on my knees
Then I looked at her and she at me

Well that's the way that I want it to stay

And I always want it to be that way for my Lola
La-la-la-la Lola
Girls will be boys and boys will be girls
It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for Lola
La-la-la-la Lola

Well I left home just a week before
And I'd never ever kissed a woman before
But Lola smiled and took me by the hand

And said dear boy I'm gonna make you a man

Well I'm not the world's most masculine man
But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man
And so is Lola
La-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola
Lola la-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola

Nope - I’m ready for beach weather! LOL

Will you drive tomorrow or take the train?

Good morning, dear ((HUGS))

Your weather sounds like ours. Woke up to 36 but will get colder as the day goes on. Weekend will only be in the 20s.

It’s Ma’s fault, you know? That AK volcano knocked all that cold air, south!

((LOL))Well, the weather is an ab solute mess this morning. It's windy and blustery.

We did get a little bit of precip. But, it's below freezing so the back porch feels like a skating rink and you have to be careful with the stairs.

Number of schools are closed including OKC schools. Power is out in some places. It's supposed to clear out later today. We'll see what happens.

I did take Bo out to the lake yesterday. We had a great time out there.

Oh yea, I do like that video version. Thanks for sharing.

“Walk Away Renee” was one of the first I puchased and downloaded to my IPod. That and The Beach Boys, “God Only Knows” also from 1966, and “Ferry cross the Mersey” by Gerry and the Pacemakers. Three timless songs I never get tired of hearing.

I bet you were happy you and Bo went to the lake yesterday, with the weather turning bad. We’ll probably get the same crap tomorrow. Stay safe.

Back at you and (((HUGS))). We are in for a gusty day here after the front passes this AM.

That will make the cedar / juniper pollen count shoot thru the roof again. I hate that stuff.

We will be in the 40s for the entire day, and may have some upper 20s to low 30s overnight.

My taste in music is very wide and spans generations and genres. From Tommy Dorsey to the Foreigner. From Ernest Tubb to Alison Krauss. - Swing, Country, Oldies, Classic Rock, and even Contemporary Hawaiian, all are in my music library. When someone ask me what kind of music I like I answer, “Good Music”.

What don’t I like? I hated Disco in the 70’s, and you would never catch me listen to today’s Pop or top 40 stations.
