I'm finding it increasingly hard to believe that this stupid little gay private had access to such a large amount of data. Something's really fishy here.

Likely to be several sources. Most of it is probably hoohum or they would have done more damage right off.

Those docs had to come from a disgruntled State Dept employee...On a good note, it did kill any further political ambitions Hillary Clinton had.

"On a good note, it did kill any further political ambitions Hillary Clinton had.

...which might have been the goal? One wonders.

It takes time to sift through all the documents, to weed out any that cast the U.S. in a favourable light.

Maybe the other 99% are incredibly dull.

Publish them all, already. Dish the dirt our overlords in the government didn’t want us little peons to ever know.

I supposeI I’m not a good FReeper as I’m not calling for the summary execution of foreign nationals in foreign countries for embarrassing the politician scum that lie to us and steal from us day in and day out.

I guess I haven’t got the “Yeah, they’re evil and they treat us like cattle, but they are OUR SCUM politicians and they need to be able to make all the secret backroom deals to screw us over that their ambition allows.” attitude.

“Maybe the other 99% are incredibly dull.”

And how is that distinguishable from the 1% that was published?

Well said.

Governments don't like to be embarrassed by the very words that their officials write to each other, as elites of all stripes avoid revealing to us commoners their own frailties that would unmask them as . . ordinary people who occasionally make mistakes.

Whatever happened to the tax avoiding offshore bank account dump? Are they scrubbing it of Dems and Progressive (RINO) Repubs before release?

They are only releasing the docs that fit with their political ideology. So what is the high-minded idea behind that?

It’s just more self-serving BS.

I know all about PFC Bradley Manning. Being a Retired military Intel Analyst I know about the limitations of the systems of the computer network where he got his info from.

The State Deptment network is sperate from the Intelligence network where the little homo copied his files from. Now if you something we don't I would love to hear it.

The files came from a State Dept puke...That is why Justice Dept is investigating it.

Remember that they were going to release the bank documents at the beginning of this month. So much for that.
