33% of GOP Voters Hope Palin Isn’t 2012 Nominee
Rasmussen Reports ^ | January 26, 2011 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 01/26/2011 10:51:42 PM PST by speciallybland

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin remains a top favorite of Republican voters, but she’s also the front-runner they least want to see get the GOP’s 2012 presidential nomination.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 81% of Likely GOP Primary Voters have a favorable opinion of Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts and an unsuccessful candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. Seventy-nine percent (79%) share a favorable opinion of Palin, the party’s 2008 vice presidential nominee, and 77% express positive feelings about another 2008 contender, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.

These findings include 44% with Very Favorable opinions of Palin and Huckabee and 38% who feel that way about Romney. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Still, one-in-three likely primary voters (33%) say Palin is the frontrunner they would least like to see nominated. Twenty-three percent (23%) feel that way about former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Fifteen percent (15%) say Romney is their least favorite of the leading candidates and 13% say the same of Huckabee.

There is a lot of information in that poll, about a number of the potential candidates, yet Rasmussen CHOOSES to headline his report with the allegedly negative bit about Sarah Palin.

Form your own conclusions......

The driveby media did say something bad about Mother Teresa. I recall twice seeing reports on BBC that Mother Teresa kept people poor as a business and in one of those reports the “news reporter” openly questioned “Who believes in God in this day and age?”. And that was the coverage of when she passed away.

You expect different from the 'Biased Bullsh** Corporation'?

What is it with this Romney crud? I’ve not talked to anyone who likes him, most on this board can’t seem to stand him—how do they always have him stuck up there in the front?

What is it with that?!

I will not vote for Romney.

Well, Matt Damon did say there was a 1 in 3 chance McCain wouldn’t live through a first time and that Sarah Palin as President scared him.

Personally I thought he was probably right on and it made me happy. /S

A lot of people like Sarah but feel embarrass to say that she is their choice, a lot say the same thing here on FR......back in 1980 the polls said that they wanted Former President Ford to face Carter again even though everybody loved Reagan and saw him fight for the nomination in 1976/ they said that he can’t win -— he will lose in a blowout, that’s a fact buddy

So, if 33% hope she isn’t the nominee, then that means that 67% do - not bad. Maybe I’m not reading this crap right, but, that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

You "story" would mean 77% hope Gingrich is the nominee, 85% hope Romney is the nominee and 87% hope Huckabee is the nominee....

I watching Sarah on Greta’s show tonight and when she said “There were a lot of W.T.F. moments in the SOTU” I actually spit out my diet Coke laughing.

Too Damn funny.

She has that Aw Shucks, water of a ducks back, disarming humor.

Maybe... if she wants to win my advice would be not to moderate at all.

McCain lost because he lost the conservative base. They never showed up or they voted 3rd party.

Palin needs to court these voters.

I voted for her not McCain in any way

Since the election roughly 98% of people I have spoken to who voted Republican in 2008 have said the same thing. Very few of the 98% had a positive thing to say about McCain.
