Indeed, senior Egyptian army officers were visiting the Pentagon when Friday’s unrest broke out, and cut off their visit to head home.

We gave them a service depot and export model tanks. The export model Abrams are about as capable as a German Leopard at best. They don’t begin to have the armor or electronics fitment of the US models.
A US spec Abrams will shrug off hits from another Abrams’ main gun. An export one will get opened up like a tin can by a 120mm APFSDS round.
