Another attempted scam. This is yet another O’Keefe-manufactured heavily-edited tape. When the full tape emerges it will be an embarassment for Lila Rose and O’Keefe.
Note the LiveAction didn’t add that as soon as their actors left, Planned Parenthood called the FBI.
Please don’t fall for this. There are other things to attack Planned Parenthood on. This one will just make the Pro-Life movement look like saps who will fall for any ruse.
PP says it has been contacting the FBI about Lila Rose’s scam. Lila Rose says she welcomes an FBI investigation.
Yes, the tape was edited. “Heavily edited” to the point of being misleading, it doesn’t look like that to me. There are long continuous segments. Are you telling me that there are missing segments where the PP staffer says “What you are doing is wrong,” or “I will have to report this,” or “I am totally not buying this.”
It doesn’t make any strategic sense at all that PP, aware of this scam, would instruct their staffers to go along with it for half an hour, and then call the FBI. The tape will influence more people than the die-hard pro-lifers against PP even if the staffer knew she was being scammed - you won’t convince all the viewers that she knew that. That’s exactly what creative editing can do - why give your enemies the chance.
And abortion clinic workers are paranoid about attack and assassination - so why would one of them let herself be filmed, identified and made a target, as they would see it?
What is the source of your claims? If they are credible, I really want to see them, because I know there is a lot of mythology on the pro-life side, as well as on the pro-abort side. If the claims are PP press releases, I’m not buying them at all unless the complete uncut video backs them up.
This is from Kathryn Lopez on National Review’s Corner:
Last week, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards reportedly sent Attorney General Eric Holder a letter to complain about Live Action investigating them for sex-trafficking, calling their undercover investigative work a hoax. ....
Phyllis Kinsler, chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey, added that the clinic employees behavior, as portrayed on the video, violates PPCNJ policies, as well as our core values of protecting the welfare of minors and complying with the law, and appropriate action is being taken.
Others complain and worry that the full video of the LiveAction clinic visit is not being released.
Lopez then gives this link to LiveAction’s website, which is supposed to contain the complete video, and it is also on you-tube. I haven’t time right now to see the whole thing but here it is for you. Hope it works.
