Report: Huckabee not running for President in 2012?
Politicons ^ | February 9, 2011 | Henry D'Andrea

In what could be a potential giveaway to Gov. Mick Huckabee’s 2012 aspirations, Race42012 has reported that Huckabee’s presidential committee Huckabee for President, Inc has filed termination paperwork with the Federal Election Commission. Though Mike Huckabee’s political action committee HuckPAC is still an entity and has filed it’s normal year end report, this could show clear signs that Mike Huckabee has decided not to seek the office of President in 2012. However, this could also mean that Mike Huckabee is in fact gearing up for a 2012 run, with a possible re-structure of committee. I also said earlier, that if Mike Huckabee doesn’t run, it could put Sarah Palin in the lead for the GOP Nomination.

Race 4 2012 Said:

I must add an important caveat: as I am not thoroughly versed in FEC campaign laws, it is not precisely clear what this filing means – but we will keep digging to find out. Closing this committee could be indicative of Gov. Huckabee retiring old debts incurred in his 2008 presidential run in order to open a new committee for his 2012 campaign, or it could simply be the settling of old accounts. The timing, however, is interesting. Stay tuned for more details and analysis as the situation becomes more clear. As Drudge says, developing…

Barbour has lost twenty pounds, and it looks as if Huck has gained twenty...

Been watching that, if the GOP does it, they WILL lose... Again

Precisely what is intended. Ruling class elites are all on the same team. The liberal media picks the "opposition", which is always a big government symp, and we the people get big government either way.

Not one of the favored "candidates" will dare to advocate a return to enumerated powers, 10th amendment respect, or dissolving any agencies. It will be more tinkering at the fringes of reducing the rate of GROWTH of the federal government.

The powers that be in the Republican establishment are getting ready to Push Jeb Bush on us. In case anyone has not noticed.

Barbara Bush was on with Greta last night talking about literacy. The whole interview was spent blaming parents for the country's educations woes and gushing over Jeb's education initiatives in Florida. Curiously, she could not name any of them.

No argument from me. I found it especially interesting that Mrs. Bush has had two sons in high political office, but she didn’t mention any of Dubya’s education initiatives. It was all about Jeb. No agenda there, huh?

I don’t think so. I think she’s a descent of FP’s brother, although I haven’t looked into it for while.

More accurately, Barbara Bush is also a descent of FP’s grandfather.

I don’t think you can read much into Bush not pushing his VP as his successor.

Cheney was picked as a mentor, not a successor.

The word was “Gravitas”. Cheney had it. Youth and electability and a likely successor, not so much.

Yeah, forgot about him. Hopefully only his hand goes up next time when they pose the evolution question, which no doubt they will.

Romney need not apply, either.

Palin/West 2012. Unstoppable.

Best theory I ever heard. I wonder what they threw Romney to quit so easily, an unimpeded shot next time, too. It would explain why they’re trying to squash Sarah. I’d love to see her run as an independent and win a landslide.

It’s too bad our Republican primary voters are just so plain dumb, isn’t it?

As I said in my post, he’s worse than Romney in my opinion. I was just pointing out that we shouldn’t come after him because he believes the Earth is 6000 years old, but because he’s too liberal and strikes me as a bit of a phony.

Why are you obsessed with this issue? With all the problems this country faces, you’re concerned with how old the earth is. The fact is, it’s not a political issue. While I’m friends with both atheists and fundamentalists, both groups tend to annoy me in general.

"And he's a big-time big-government lib who believes that the government exists as a tool for others to run our lives."

I think I've been on Facebook too much. I went looking for the "like" button here.

Huckabee is way too quick to have government butt into our personal lives, "for our own good" of course. To the point where I often add a letter to the beginning of his name. >:)

I don’t want it to be an issue, but the media will make it one. With Huckabee out it’s less likely to be brought up.
