DOUBLE RAINBOW STAMP & ENVELOPE CANCELLATIONS
On February 6th, 2011 the Reagan Birthplace announces that the U.S. Postal Service will provide a Postal Station at the Birthplace. Hours for the station will be 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Birthplace is planning to offer silk screen cachets featuring a double rainbow stamp for the centennial celebration. Purchase price will be $7.50 each. After purchasing your cachet, you may have it canceled with the Feb. 6th, 2011 date.
On February 10th, the Postal Service will be releasing the newest stamp honoring Ronald Reagan. There will be a dedication ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Birthplace & cachets will also be available on that day featuring the new Ronald Reagan Forever stamp.

For those that cannot make the Centennial Gala @ Deer Valley, a dinner will be served at the Tampico Middle School, with a live video feed during Newt Gingrich's speech. Details to follow. BIRTHPLACE HOURS OF OPERATION
February 6, 2011 - Annual Reagan Birthday Celebration, 10a-4pm. Birthplace/Museum will be open - 111 S. Main Street, Tampico, IL. Refreshments served at the Tampico Historical Society, 119 S. Main Street, Tampico, IL.
March, 2011 - Open Saturdays, 10a-4p & Sundays, 1p-4p

I saved a couple of the ones from a few years ago. I’ll do the same this time.
I wish they would make them universal stamps: I’d buy a brick.
Others have commented: The USPS routinely crosses out the 44 or whatever the number is, when depicting stamp designs in the media. It looks like this is a 44 cent stamp. (No matter; I would keep using it in case of an increase, with makeup stamps added.)
There was a story about this a few weeks ago & the postal service said it would be forever
