Texas Rep. Ron Paul captures CPAC presidential preference straw poll by huge margin!!
The Washington Times Online Edition ^ | 2/12/2011 | By Ralph Z. Hallow

Texas Rep. Ron Paul has won the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) 2012 presidential preference straw poll of 3,742 activists, the chairman of the huge annual gathering of conservative activists announced on Saturday.

The poll, sponsored this year for the first time by The Washington Times, is seen as one of the earliest tests of grassroots popularity among the party’s dominant conservative wing, and Mr. Paul, who ran unsuccessfully for the nomination in 2008, has traditionally done well in the CPAC voting.

The Republican lawmaker, long a favorite of the party’s libertarian wing, took 30 percent of the votes cast, followed by Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney with 23 percent. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who has said he will not be a candidate in 2012, and New Mexico former Gov. Gary Johnson tied for third, with 6 percent of the vote.

Neocon is a name made up by suicide monkeys to rationalize their weak, isolationists and suicidal policies. It's also code word for "the Joos" To hide the fact that Paulhriods are flaming lunatics, they come up with BS and lots of hyperbole, e.g., neocons want war in every country all the time.

I would rather have 10 divisions of Chinese military in front of me versus 1 Pualhriod behind me.

What wil, you Paulhriods (the hemmohiods of American Politics) do when Ron Paul goes down in flames again? Cry in your boyfriend's diapers?

Any person who straps an assault rifle to their back in order to show up to a rally is an idiot. It’s kind of like a story I heard about somebody getting fired from an armored car company for showing up with a shotgun (as they were allowed to furnish their own weapon) and two Rambo straps of shotgun shells; it was way over the top.

The second amendment bans the federal government from restricting the gun rights of individual citizens within the states. However, it doesn’t ban states from regulating the crap out of them. Idiots who flaunt like this turn public perception against us gun owners and makes it easier for liberals to pass referendums, etc to restrict our rights.

The Second Amendment guarantees the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms, unrestricted. The states are thereby prohibited from placing restrictions on the citizenry. At least that's the way I read it.

In the original system (pre Civil War), the Constitution was mainly an agreement between the states (as sovereign "mini nations") and the administration of the federation of the states (what we know as the giant federal government today thanks to the outcome of the Civil War). The people of each state developed their own constitutions for each state that became their individual agreement with the state. Back then, the individual wasn't that concerned with the federal government because it was pretty powerless and the state was very powerful.

There is more to being conservative than being hawkish and having an expansionist foreign policy. So many here would willingly elect any liberal who has those criteria. Just look at Bush, Giuliani and McCain. Or even Lieberman for that matter (if he tacked on a GOP after his name). People have grown sick of having such politicians pushed on us.

Personally I am grateful to the Paulheads, libertarians and Tea Party folk who rattled the GOP establishment and stopped its progression down that path.

Maybe you Paulhriods get away with it elsewhere, but not here, not with me.

Conservatives DO NOT believe in war in every continent, in every country for any reason. We don't believe our troups should be in places where they don't need to be. We just don't like blaming America for Islamic radicalism as does Ron Paul. Conservatives don't believe in Abortion, open borders, social engineering and most of all TRUTHERS, as does Ron Paul.

Ron Paul just got his ass given to him by the YAF (Young Americans for Freedom). Here's what the National Director says about Ron Paul...

"“Rep. Paul’s refusal to support our nation’s military and national security interests border on treason, aside from his failure to uphold his oath to the United States Constitution and defend our country and citizens against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” Marks continued."

Yep, they just expelled this traitor from their board. Good riddance. It's time for Ron Paul to finish the leap leftward and pack his Paulhroids with him. He also ripped him for being a truther.

Why the hell to Paulhroids spam this forum with their leftist bullshit?

It's a rally!!!! More people should do it IMO, not less. We should applaud the guy, not join the symphony of chattering knees! Why not 10000 guys peacefully showing up to a rally, as did the guy you are calling an idiot.

You made MY point by making the "armored car" analogy, thanks. No, he was not going to work, he was going to A RALLY!

Rallies - where people show up to support various constitutionally protected freedoms.

We are off topic...Ron Paul is a cheese eating surrender monkey.
