Fellow Reporters Heartlessly Mock Lara Logan After Assault
Babble ^ | 2/15/11 | CAROLYN CASTIGLIA

Posted on 02/16/2011 4:40:39 AM PST by jimbo123

As Mary Elizabeth Williams wrote earlier this evening over at Salon, several reporters and bloggers have “decided to hinge the story” of Lara Logan’s rape “on the blond reporter’s looks.” Simone Wilson’s LA Weekly post mocks Logan’s beauty, saying, “Egyptian protesters apparently consummated their newfound independence by sexually assaulting the blonde reporter.” Consummated? Unconscionable.

The Mofo Politics blog featured a post on February 3rd, saying, “OMG if I were her captors and there were no sanctions for doing so? I would totally rape her.”

Why would any women ever travel to a moslem country? Isn’t it obviosu that the animals will attack?

Likewise why would any woman associate with democrats? Isn’t it obvious that the animals will attack?

The sexual assault on her didn't fit the MSM’s narrative of “peaceful” protesters just looking for freedom.
This will happen daily when the Muslim Brotherhood takes over.

Ah, so it is "her fault?" And "boys will be boys." Guess she just had that coming for being a beautiful, attractive woman? Wow, rapists the world over will rejoice at that news and precedent.

Remember Oprah's "rape rape" idiotic comment regarding the director (or some such)? These liberals have no morals, no sense of fundamental, right vs wrong, good vs evil. They are willing to excuse or spin anything as long as it supports their failed agenda.

Me, I'd take every one of them out, line them up against a wall and shoot them. Done. Problem solved, zero chance of repeat offenders.

On a human level that’s just sad. But if you think she deserved to get raped because she was a liberal, at least know that she filed reports that were somewhat favorable of our efforts in Afghanistan. That’s why your analog from NYU on the progressive side got a good chuckle out of her gang rape.

That’s the basic point. Don’t go into a hungry den of lions and expect to come out in one piece...and yes, people will laugh at you if you try that stunt. It is HER RESPONSIBILITY to understand the mob she was hanging out with...just as it’s anyone’s responsibility to respect wild animals and stay clear.

She was actually just a reporter and even if her politics stank, she didn’t deserve to be raped by a band of Muslim thugs “celebrating” in their own charming way.

What really deserves criticism is the network, which probably minimized the danger because it didn’t go with the image they were trying to project (peace, joy and Obama). So she may have let her guard down a bit, and certainly she and the others in her group shouldn’t have been out there without more protection and a plan for getting out of there.

The mob of “celebrators” were apparently chanting “Jew, Jew” while they raped her (she’s not Jewish). So I think we can see what was really behind this horrible attack.

The vile hatred of the Islamic, anti American gangs of Egypt is matched by the cutthroat MSM. Logan was selected by her employer partly based on her looks and was sent willingly into a dangerous situation. Plenty of blame her to go around. She has surely learned from this sad experience. Not so her fellow journalists. Foolish as she was, I certainly feel bad that she had to go through this experience. I wonder how her handlers at CBS feel. She was collateral damage to their story extolling the Islamic revolution.

The worse thing on this world is a child molester second being a rapist.
Even in prison this is known and yet we have idiots saying so what, she deserves it???

Why the press, OK so called press send good looking women into these muslim areas or even send blondes into these kind of countries is beyond me.
It just shows me how stupid they are and how they think everything is all rosy with these 3rd world countries.

The GOP and the cowards on talk radio like Hannity will not talk about social issues which then suits the left as they want to destroy our moral code on the social front.

Anyone who has traveled and understands how the street life around the world knows that putting a decent looking western woman into these pits will attract the animals.

Sad as that is, it’s the truth and the left are either naive or stupid or both.

Despicable.

But anytime a Liberal wants to make an insult or a basic point, they almost always reach first to style it in coarse sexual terms.

Hence Anderson Cooper’s first instinct in trying to insult the Tea Party was to use slang for a homosexual sex act.

The girl was no Snow White but these “protesters” were not much evolved over animals. Combine that with the fact they were yelling Jew while they were raping her. Also the fact they all Americans were warned to get out before this happened and the beating the FNC journalist has already gotten and this incident never should have happened in the first place. Plenty of blame to go around.

No. Your statement that rape is “her responsibility” is outrageous.

Forget your echoing of the mindset that if a woman doesn’t live up to the local standards of a “lady,” she’s fair game for rape and sexual assault. (where’s her burka, anyway?)

I agree that it’s foolish to go into these demonstrations armed only with a microphone and covered only with a camera, as the reporters have been doing. I’ve watched in fear of murder and assault against a Western reporter or crew as inevitable.

However, rape and murder and vandalism are the responsibility of the criminals who do the acts. Otherwise, you open the door to claims that poverty, rage, mob mentality are defenses.

Me too. What did the "sexual assault" consist of? Was she actually raped? If so, she can take comfort in the fact that Whoopi Goldberg would argue that it wasn't rape-rape. Or was she just given a beatdown because she was female.

Either way, I think we can rule out Anderson Cooper as a suspect.

Logan's job was to reelect Baracky Obozo. Her mission was to roam the streets of Cairo attempting to interview the toxic street rabble for that precious sound bite wherein they praised Pharaoh Obozo for delivering them from their bondage.

Her purpose was to flood the airwaves of America with sound bites and video praising Obozo and attempting to lift his image back out of the swirling turd bowl.

Now I don't know about you but if I was a 'stunning blond reporterette' I wouldn't prowl the streets of Philadelphia after dark, let alone Cairo, wearing a deep plunging blouse and Tiffany pearls among the street swine!!

Common sense you don't do that; common sense says you don't dress like that. Now of course many of you will say we should all be free to roam where and when we want. Good luck with that strategy pal!

By the way, she's NOT stunning, and that severe hairline and flat lifeless hair of hers suggest she'll soon be losing those locks.

You suffer from the same thing many Americans do. Trying to put the responsibility of YOUR morality on other cultures. In Islam land it is not a crime to rape an infidel.

The Scorpion and the Frog
One day, a scorpion looked around at the mountain where he lived and decided that he wanted a change. So he set out on a journey through the forests and hills. He climbed over rocks and under vines and kept going until he reached a river.
The river was wide and swift, and the scorpion stopped to reconsider the situation. He couldn’t see any way across. So he ran upriver and then checked downriver, all the while thinking that he might have to turn back.

Suddenly, he saw a frog sitting in the rushes by the bank of the stream on the other side of the river. He decided to ask the frog for help getting across the stream.

“Hellooo Mr. Frog!” called the scorpion across the water, “Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?”

“Well now, Mr. Scorpion! How do I know that if I try to help you, you wont try to kill me?” asked the frog hesitantly.

“Because,” the scorpion replied, “If I try to kill you, then I would die too, for you see I cannot swim!”

Now this seemed to make sense to the frog. But he asked. “What about when I get close to the bank? You could still try to kill me and get back to the shore!”

“This is true,” agreed the scorpion, “But then I wouldn’t be able to get to the other side of the river!”

“Alright then...how do I know you wont just wait till we get to the other side and THEN kill me?” said the frog.

“Ahh...,” crooned the scorpion, “Because you see, once you’ve taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!”

So the frog agreed to take the scorpion across the river. He swam over to the bank and settled himself near the mud to pick up his passenger. The scorpion crawled onto the frog’s back, his sharp claws prickling into the frog’s soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current.

Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog’s back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.

“You fool!” croaked the frog, “Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?”

The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog’s back.

“I could not help myself. It is my nature.”

Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.

Self destruction - “Its my Nature”, said the Scorpion...

nail on head.

The media should know by now you cannot put a western woman into these countries and around big crowds.
They have no respect for western non-muslim woman, they look at our women as animals who are there to be used for their entertainment.

She should know, the corrupt media we have should know but it does show how stupid or naive the left is when it comes to dealing with these countries and people.

However... Regardless of her being stupid , naive what ever she does not deserve to be gang raped.

The New York Daily News is reporting she had already been ‘detained’ once by ‘Government’ forces - forced into a humiliating position and held for several hours. The Egyptian government booted her out of the country. She fought for a week to get back into the country so she could (I’m paraphrasing a bit here)’roam the streets and report the best story she could’ - her first day back into the country was the day she suffered the ‘assault’ by the celebrating ROP fans.
