Before shooting those cute creatures, let’s feed PETA liberals to them first.

Damn I love it when States start to take action in defiance of Federal Rules... It’s about time that they stand up to silly and stupid laws made by the Federal Government.

Go 10th amendment activists and others, common sense seems to be lacking in Washington...

"We will take action in Montana on our own," he said. "We've had it with Washington, D.C., with Congress just yipping about it, with [the Department of the] Interior just vacillating about it."

Yeah!!!

The DNR protects wolves in WI. Only one question: What do wolves contribute to the human race?

I want to point something out to people here on FR:

Montana’s governor is a Democrat.

The other governor who has taken on the Feds over wolves was a Democrat, Dave Freudenthal, former governor of Wyoming. Freudenthal sued the Feds and then set up a hunting season and plan for wolves in Wyoming. Over two dozen wolves were shot the first week Freudenthal’s hunting plan was open. The Feds then sued to stop it, and Wyoming and the Feds are still in court.

Republican governors talk a nice game on this issue, but they don’t back up their words with actions. Butch Otter wimped out on the issue last fall, tossing the ball back at the feds and saying “Golly, I tried...”

If Republicans want to be seen as the party that is going to lead on issues that make a difference to the bottom line of real business (instead of merely carrying water for Wall Street and multi-national corporations), the GOP should get their head out of their plush posteriors on these kinds of issues and show some leadership.

Wolves are not just dogs of a different sort. They are twice as smart and strong as big dogs. Just look one in the eye in a zoo. Chilling. First class predators.

I remember seeing Kristen Stewart, the girl from Twilight, on Letterman, and she was talking about how these evil people ride around in helicopters and just pop innocent wolves.

And then Dave said basically: it’s not so messed up when the wolves keep killing your livestock.

California libscum led the way with states defying federal law, for example re immigration and drugs (pot).

Isn’t the irony delicious?

If I see a wolf in WI, I will shoot it, including any coyotes as well.

....he no longer would wait for federal officials to resolve the tangle of lawsuits over wolves, which has kept the animals on the endangered species list for a decade since recovery goals were first met."We will take action in Montana on our own," he said. "We've had it...

Idaho nullifying Obamacare and now Montana taking control of the predator wolves that are decimating deer, elk, moose, cow and sheep in their state.

Western Governors with cohones and the Will of the People to back them.

“What do wolves contribute to the human race?” I can understand that farmers and ranchers need to protect their livestock. I certainly think they should have the right to kill wolves that have been attacking their animals. However, I read recently that mad cow type disease has been found in the US elk population. Perhaps wolves will be able to kill off the diseased specimens and keep them for being eaten by us or infecting the deer population. East of the Mississippi, we are afraid of that disease being introduced into our game animals.

You make some excellent points. The GOP needs to start exerting leadership on some of these issues that the majority of Americans want action on.

On issues like Open Borders, Globalism, spending, lower taxes....if the GOP does not take lead on them now....they will lose to a Dem who will. Correct that the GOP needs to stop pandering to Wall Street and the Globalists...get back to America

You insensitive human, you. Wolves and all animals would be much better off with out man. The whole planet would. Besides we must protect endangered species because they may hold the key to a cure for cancer. Those are the two main liberal arguments, man bad but we may find a cancer cure to keep bad men alive. Contradictory? I said they were liberal arguments so that is to be expected.
