One of the 14 Wisconsin senators who has been hiding out in Illinois with his Democratic colleagues says protesters have discovered the hotel where many of the lawmakers are staying.
State Sen. Chris Larson said Tuesday that the senators were trying to keep their locations a secret because they were concerned for their safety. For example, he said, someone e-mailed him threatening to burn down his house.
Larson was speaking by cell phone Tuesday when protesters pulled up in front of his hotel. He said he and his fellow Democrats would likely move, although he wasn't sure whether that meant going to a different hotel or a different city.
The Democrats left the state Thursday to prevent a vote on a Republican Gov. Scott Walker's sweeping bill that would limit unions' collective bargaining

The Illinois governor should declare them a “threat to public safety” and have the state cops escort them to the Wisconsin border.
The Illinois governor is a Democrat and supports the absent Wisconsin legislators without reservation.

Fire their staff members back in Madison. They can’t be doing anything if their bosses are holed up in IL.
These Democrats see themselves as some kind of heroes. DO NOT let themselves present themselves as such. They are siding with UNION BOSSES who pad their election war chests AGAINST THE PEOPLE (VOTERS)! It is clear who’s side they are one, and it is not the taxpayers or general public, or even union workers they claim to represent.
The Illinois governor is a Democrat. This is why the Indiana donks went to Illinois and not Michigan, from what I hear.
How long with the owner of the motel support the run away lawmakers if folks crowd his parking lot with signs?

There was another thread saying they might be in Harvard, IL (5 miles south of the WI border, just NE of Belvidere). Is that accurate? Wish I could join in the hunt but my business travel is taking me out of IL, not in...
They were hiding because they were concerned for their safety my foot. They’re just a bunch of lying weasels and that’s putting it nicely.
They’ll just move to another motel with the assistance of the Illinois state police, who are also in total support of this strike. As are the Wisconsin state police.
Better would be to take them into “protective custody.”
