Then why is Israel not doing anything? We would do something if we had a President instead of a Pres__ent but unfortunately we’re kind of stuck for at least another two years.

If Israel has intel that shows those weapons are onboard and the Iranians try to unload them there is going to be a major confrontation! Biblical in scope I believe! Do these war ships have missle launch capabilities?

“...the voyage is an attempt on the part of the Iranians to “test the waters”...”

Push “O” to the wall, more like!!! There’s blood in the water and these Iranians know it.

More ‘hope and change’ for America.

Unfortunately, it is actually more danger, violence, oppression, destruction and death to the weak and vulnerable people everywhere who are used to the mediating influence of a strong US.

By now “O’s” name ought to be anathema to our allies!

With all the world's attention distracted to Libya it would be the best time for Israel to “eliminate” any threats to it's existence.

One warship and one resupply ship is what I heard. Wouldn’t it be very interesting if the beat up old supply ship magically had a magnetic mine explode on its hull while passing close to Israel?

If anything happened to that ship obviously Israel will be blamed by the whole Muslim world no matter what the facts are. If they believe that Israel is putting spy gear on vultures how hard of a sell would a sunk ship be for them?

The big question is would Iran plant a bomb on the hull and lose a few martyrs to inflame everyone against Israel? (rhetorical question it seems)

"Test the waters" my ass. These vessels, or others like them, will eventually be used to "escort" another Gaza "Mercy Flotilla", filled with weapons. The Iranians see this as a "win/win" situation: If Israel reacts to stop them, the Iranians will play the victim card. If Israel does nothing, Gaza will be restocked with weapons and personnel that will continue to attack freedom.

I say, send their Persian warships to the bottom.

We went through a detailed discussion on this topic last week. As indicated previously, the Suez Canal is protected by international treaty -- and as such, nobody (including the Egyptian government) has the authority to prevent any vessels from using it.

Kinda makes me wonder why anyone would be making a big deal out of nothing.

You can be 100% sure that the Israelies are using the MSM and press releases to their advantage. They have gotta have the highest IQs of all the mid-east countries. Everything you hear is carefully manipulated I am sure.

Isn’t “Advanced Hezbollah weapons” sort of an oxymoron? What are they - bigger rocks?

Well if that’s truly the case, then there’s NO reason not to sink them. None.

When GW was president, the Israelis captured the Karine A and proved that Arafat was a liar and that the Iranians were supplying the Palis with weapons.

But under Obama, Israel knows all they will get is UN, US, and European condemnation and disbelief.

I pray we make it to 2012.

I wonder about the source of this information and the reliability of the report. Not suggesting it is false, but we hear contradicting stories almost daily. Just yesterday, Israel allegedly advised that the Iranian ships presented no harm. Suddenly, today they are carrying weapons for Hezbollah.

Generally speaking, when a lot of information comes out of Israel regarding a military threat, you hear about it after they strike at someone. Not before. Keep that in mind. I tend to believe the earlier reports where no concrete threat exists. Testing the waters, absolutely.

Guess: Since the Iranians suspects that the vessels will be inspected they are probably empty. However, this will set a precedence. Either way it is bad. NRO will take a look.

If Chavez was shipping similar equipment to the Cartel in Mexico, what would you expect us to do? Presently NOTHING with Mr. Indecisive as POTUS.

How hard is it for a sub to deploy a SEAL with limpet mines that would then be attached to the underside of the ships?

And then when safely back, detonate the mines.

And when the press asks questions, just shrug and say that the explosives on the ship must not have been stored properly and exploded en route...

What's the sound of that an Israeli Dolphin class sub makes when firing a wire-guided torpedo?
It's been almost 30 years since a sub sank a moving ship. It's overdue.
