KNX 1070′s Mike Landa reports customers are questioning what’s going on at a Mobil station on Azusa Avenue that’s selling regular unleaded at $4.51 a gallon.

Thursday marks the 22nd increase in 23 days, pushing the average price 10.2 cents higher than a week ago, 24.6 cents above what it was one month ago and 66 cents greater than it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

Further increases are expected because of the rising price of Brent crude oil, which is used to price the imported oil used by California refineries.

Sorry, I will just have to see it to believe it. Every time we passed through Baker we’d be paying at least 80 cents to more than a buck per gallon more than in metro Las Vegas or metro L.A.

LOL! One of the hell holes of the country. If you need to buy gas in Baker you better be prepared to be ripped off. They just want their share of the action in Vegas, coming or going. :)

So gas in LA metro is 3.70?
Seriously, what is the price there?

I don't know what gas is in the L.A. area... mainly because I am on the other side of the country. I just know whatever it is, Baker is WAY higher.

I filled up a few days ago and paid 3.53 for premium after a .20 cent discount for a car wash.

That's what I said the first time. The second time, it was one of my friends in the car who had to buy the gas. :)

Subsequent trips up and down I-15 would only have us stopping in Baker just to hit the restroom. I still feel like they owe me.

You know, Bun Boy is closed.

I think KNX just looked at this website, not actually doing any field work.
