Also, Sarkozy's maternal grandfather was a Sephardic Greek Jew, who married a Catholic French woman and converted.
He isn't Jewish in any way, save Nazi policy, but that doesn't stop antisemites from talking.

The National Front is the only political party in France that is serious about doing anything about immigration and multiculturalism.
I suppose that Mouvement pour la France, and and Chasse, Pêche, Nature & Traditions don't exist?
They may be minor parties, but they exist and aren't fascist.

I entirely forgot about Leon Blum and stand corrected. But I must also say that I know close to nothing about him and very little about the French government of the time. Many, many thanks for your post. Is there a good (not written by some socialist loon) book you'd recommend on the subject?

Not my specialty. Half of what I know about him comes from Sunday school and European History class. I don’t know any good books in English and my French is a decade out of use.

I was skeptical of Le Pen for many years, now I wholeheartedly support her.
I understand her father puts her in somewhat of an awkward position. But I truly believe she does not share her father’s racist tendencies.
The bottom line is, I believe the Front National is the best hope for France. Sarkozy had his chance and he didn’t get it done.

On Sunday the Republic will show its unity.
Everyone is invited. All unions, all parties.
Except Marine Le Pen.
Hollans is saying that anyone who connects jihadism with Islam is an enemy of the republic.
As I wrote in another post.
Even the soccer plebs, do not by this anmymore.
If you ask the French. Did the attacks have anything do with islam? I think an overwhelming majority would say yes.
Yet, Hollande.
Says Non.
It has to give. Something has to give.
They are lying well educated people into their faces.
