Michelle Obama's Style Dream Team
Yahoo ^ | March 10, 2011 | Piper Weiss

Over the past few years, Michelle Obama has generated about $2.7 billion for the fashion industry, just by getting dressed. One appearance in a $34 H&M dress, which she wore this month on the Today Show, can make a stock skyrocket, turn an unknown talent into a star, and send millions of shoppers to the mall, even in a sluggish economy. It's the Mrs. O effect, but it's not all the work of one woman. By the time her husband hit the campaign trail, 'Mobama' was already assembling her star team of fashion and beauty experts. But these are not your average red carpet stylists. All have roots in Chicago, and all work together to facilitate the first lady's unique brand of elegant do-it-yourself looks. "She’s the most casual first lady we’ve ever had," says Kate Betts, author of Everyday Icon: Michelle Obama and the Power of Style. "That hasn't changed since she's been in the White House. She's still wearing high-low fashion, floral dresses, and belts like she did on the campaign trial." But after two years on the job, her influence on the fashion industry has solidified and so has her dream team.

I still haven’t seen any women wearing the ‘boob belt”. Guess it’s just not catching on.

most elegant,
I wish I could get photos up here as I have a few of her elegant photo’s lie her walking the dog, walking up to a plane dressed in a yellow skirt showing her panty line and massive ass and another one where she is walking up the stairs with the first ladies of Italy and France

Aye she’s elegant ARF

Just because some clothing is expensive does ot mean she is elegant of stylish, things like getting it to fit and the right size might help her.

Still it must be nice to tell us how much to eat and what to eat while she stuffs her face with food but I guess our great free and fair media have pointed out this hypocrisy
What no.

You have GOT to be kidding! The fact that they used this picture at all (and the one with her b@@b overhang spilling out over the bluish one shoulder dress) means that these were the BEST shots they had....personally, I'd be mortified to be photographed looking so awkward!

Moammar, my friend, welcome to America. Michelle is looking forward to having you take charge of her wardrobe. And don't forget, Wednesday is party night."

"'Mobama' was already assembling her star team of fashion and beauty experts"

Ya know, I purposely avoid TV whenever either one of the Usurpers are on the tube, but if she's got a "star team of fashion and beauty experts" on her staff, why does she always look like a Wookie?

She always reminds me of Aunt Esther on Sanford and Son.....

This is the British super model known as 'Twiggy' from the 1967 thru 1969 era.
She looks like someone who managed to survive Auschwitz.

Twiggy could have used some Big Macs and Captain Crunch. Looks like she lived on 200 calories a day.

Yes, in China, busy filling orders from America that say "Send us lots of anything that is nothing like what Michelle has strapped on, thank you."

I don’t think mooch-elle has generated money for the fashion industry. Maybe she did for the Salvation Army store, the Drapery shop or for the Remnant Factory Discount Remnants.
