I’m not sure the basis of your assertion that “natural born citizen” = “born in US of US citizen parents.” This definition is not in the Constitution and has never been reviewed by in the Supreme Court. The practical definition is “born in the US to parents that are legal residents of the US (citizen or not) OR born anywhere to parents who are US citizens.”
I’m open to correction, if this isn’t precise.

The intent of the Founding Fathers is clear:

Is Being a Born Citizen of the United States of Sufficient Citizenship Status to be President of the United States and Commander in Chief of Our Military? The Founders and Framers Emphatically Decided It Was Not!
