Israeli Prime Minister Calls For Strike Against Iran
Russia Today ^ | March 18, 2011

Posted on 03/18/2011 6:50:09 AM PDT by Strategy

If Tehran continues with its nuclear program, other nations should threaten it with military action, Benjamin Netanyahu has said.

The sanctions imposed on Iran by the United Nations Security Council are not enough, the Israeli prime minister told CNN. He expressed concern that Iran may gain additional influence during the recent upheaval across the Middle East.

Iran should know that "if it fails to cooperate, there will be credible military actions," Netanyahu said. He believes it is the only thing that could stop Tehran's nuclear program.

According to the prime minister, such actions from the international community would knock out Iran's nuclear facilities. If the strike is unavoidable and the decision is adopted, it would not be that difficult and would be "preferably" led by Washington, he noted.

We’re maxed out. Talk to the Chinese and if they lend us another $Trillion, then maybe.

Israel IS the Mommy....able and most willing to go alone if they decide to do just that. Never needs anyones permission to act...obvious History reveals this.

When Israel took out Saddams Nuclear site...they phoned Washington to let them know after the fact. Washingtons response...’Oh really, is that so”. Frankly Israel does what it will do without any nations agreement. But only when it determines when and where.

Oh really now? Guess that's why he's held his office and re-elected time and again. Humm...his tracks don't agree with your personal assessment.

Yo Nety,

You may have noticed that the West is divided and clueless and that the US is presided over by a coward tearing down America.

Hint: Do it yourself or it won’t get done.

Godspeed.

his tracks

-

Like having the IAF bomb empty Hamas firing positions?
Like allowing Iranian warships to land in Syria to establish an Iranian naval base on the Med?
Like allowing those same ships to offload advanced weapons bound for Gaza and Hezbolla?
Like allowing the IDF to fall apart with horendous, scandal-ridden leadership while kicking out good ones?
Like pulling for a Palestinain state?

The list goes on...

They are surrounded, and vastly outnumbered. Israel must have friends to stand with them. They will need ammunition, planes, etc. How can a tiny sliver of a nation that is not supported in any real way possibly attack first? While they are attacked internally piece meal constantly and are under a barrage of rockets.

AMAZING!

If someone like America is standing with them, then the possibility of being obliterated is diminished considerably.

The world seems to vote against Israel. The Bible prophesy is for all nations to come against Israel in the last war.

The “other” lists are what got him voted back in. Sheesh! We all get info to support our position. However his right side far outweighs the left side of any list or he would not be in office.

Israel can take out much, or most of the Iranian program. But it would have to fly over Iraq. Ergo, the US will be blamed and face retaliation. And ISrael cannot take out Iran's navy and anti-ship missiles. Israel hits Iran, Iran closes the Persian Gulf.
The US and Saudis could do it faster, easier, and completely.

WTF, a missile on the religious leaders ass will take out the nuclear threat. Especially if the tip of the missile has about 10 megaton.

In some ways, that’s good. I don’t WANT to see us go to war under this feckless and wishy-washy administration. The ROE in the Stan are bad, real bad. I don’t want this guy to EVER start thinking he is worthy to lead our country into war. Not till the grownups are back in charge and then it will be...

IN EXTENDED observation of the ways and works of man,
From the Four-mile Radius roughly to the Plains of Hindustan:
I have drunk with mixed assemblies, seen the racial ruction rise,
And the men of half Creation damning half Creation’s eyes.

I have watched them in their tantrums, all that Pentecostal crew,
French, Italian, Arab, Spaniard, Dutch and Greek, and Russ and Jew,
Celt and savage, buff and ochre, cream and yellow, mauve and white,
But it never really mattered till the English grew polite;

Till the men with polished toppers, till the men in long frock-coats,
Till the men who do not duel, till the men who war with votes,
Till the breed that take their pleasures as Saint Lawrence took his grid,
Began to “beg your pardon” and—the knowing croupier hid.

Then the bandsmen with their fiddles, and the girls that bring the beer,
Felt the psychological moment, left the lit Casino clear;
But the uninstructed alien, from the Teuton to the Gaul,
Was entrapped, once more, my country, by that suave, deceptive drawl.

As it was in ancient Suez or ‘neath wilder, milder skies,
I “observe with apprehension” how the racial ructions rise;
And with keener apprehension, if I read the times aright,
Hear the old Casino order: “Watch your man, but be polite.

“Keep your temper. Never answer (that was why they spat and swore).
Don’t hit first, but move together (there’s no hurry) to the door.
Back to back, and facing outward while the linguist tells ‘em how —
`Nous sommes allong ar notre batteau, nous ne voulong pas un row.’”

So the hard, pent rage ate inward, till some idiot went too far...
“Let ‘em have it!” and they had it, and the same was merry war —
Fist, umbrella, cane, decanter, lamp and beer-mug, chair and boot —
Till behind the fleeing legions rose the long, hoarse yell for loot.

Then the oil-cloth with its numbers, like a banner fluttered free;
Then the grand piano cantered, on three castors, down the quay;
White, and breathing through their nostrils, silent, systematic, swift —
They removed, effaced, abolished all that man could heave or lift.

Oh, my country, bless the training that from cot to castle runs —
The pitfall of the stranger but the bulwark of thy sons —
Measured speech and ordered action, sluggish soul and unperturbed,
Till we wake our Island-Devil—nowise cool for being curbed!

When the heir of all the ages “has the honour to remain,”
When he will not hear an insult, though men make it ne’er so plain,
When his lips are schooled to meekness, when his back is bowed to blows —
Well the keen aas-vogels know it—well the waiting jackal knows.

Build on the flanks of Etna where the sullen smoke-puffs float —
Or bathe in tropic waters where the lean fin dogs the boat —
Cock the gun that is not loaded, cook the frozen dynamite —
But oh, beware my Country, when my Country grows polite!

thank you...the Maroons on this thread are clueless...

Israel does what it needs to when it needs to...

These posters who say “We give Israel billions, do your own stuff” are so clueless..must be Ron Paulies! We get more of our money’s worth from having Israel there and on our side than Anything we could ever give them!!

Tired of being the “world’s Policeman”...well, guess what, WE GET A LOT BACK FOR THAT...economically. Yeesh, Yeah lets all go into our suburban garages and have hot dog roasts in the backyard while the big Bad World gets along without us.

Furthermore, everyone that is sooooooo upset with Israel saying this, did it ever occur to them that there might be a political message in that?

To the Morons: Go ahead and flame me. then go back to watching basketball...

on the last picture — PM Netanyahu was pointing out that Israel is so small “it is covered by my finger.”

Excellent point made by the PM. Good interview overall. I remember Wolf Blitzer interviewing PM Sharon. Blitzer was incredibly rude and disrespectful - interupting, demanding. I have never seen a head of state receive that treatment.

Morgan was very respectful.

He’s baiting the UN for being so hot to trot in Libya against someone who is of no real importance, while the catastrophic danger is being ignored.

So why doesn’t Israel do a nuke strike on their own? Are they cowards? Are they chicken? But if they do it they will immediately be turned into the pariahs of the world. Victims don’t possess and don’t use nukes.

Instead they want to pass on the massive bill for their defense to average USA citizens. BS! If Israel wants Iran wiped out then they should do it on their own, without the need for US casualties. We didn’t attack Iraq to defend the USA and we shouldn’t attack Iran. Let them do it.

The arguement they give of monies to Israel is just foolish...and most other arguements..It gets tiring hearing the crap. Gussing those folks would have us stop all monies distributed. They forget Israel just turned down a wad from us...but then they only read articles they want to support their disdain of Israel. And also turned down offer for military something a rather...they’re going to build their own and employ their people doing so.
