Analysis: What's Behind the Obama Reversal on Libya
Arutz Sheva ^ | 03/18/2011 | Dr. Amiel Unga

Posted on 03/18/2011 8:16:47 PM PDT by Uncle Miltie

The American reversal and sudden support for a No-Fly zone in Libya plus after Defense Secretary Robert Gates and influential portions of the American defense establishment had trashed it, requires explanation. Why was a policy that could have been extremely more effective in ousting Libyan autocrat Morman Qaddafi a few weeks ago now resurrected after Qaddafi has reasserted control over most of Libya and more importantly the oilfields?.

There is no doubt that the Obama administration will spin the familiar refrain "me no Bush " and claim that delay and "creative ambiguity" was a price that had to be paid to achieve the multilateral diplomacy that the Bush administration had scorned. More importantly, there will be Arab diplomatic cover, a cameo military role for Arab countries and Gulf checkbooks to finance the operation.

Did he really say Mormon Qaddafi? If he did, that remark should be put on page one to illustrate how far out of touch he is.

Obama has delayed long enough to ensure his buddy Qadaffi retains the upper hand. He can now afford to take the side of the rebels...when it’s too late.

Or alternately he and the EU have figured out that the “rebels” are just traditionally squabbling bands supported by AQ and not worth wasting mil assets on.

The answer is that the Americans were outside of the real events. The Euros had no confidence and excluded the untrustworthy Obama. It was only very recent that he was allowed into the picture.

The ongoing negotiations with Quadaffi went sour and the plans changed. At that point, Obama was allowed to participate.

If you consider that the entire goal of this administration is in part chaos, you can't get it by making the correct decision in a timely fashion.

Wait unit things will be at at stalemate and probably chaotic forever and then come aboard. That's what zero does, same path on everything whether its an oil spill in the Gulf or creating a budget.

Wait until things are so screwed up chaos occurs. Its always advances socialism/communism which is zeros' goal.

Actually I think the only thing that spurred the dear leader into action (Valerie that is) is Hillary quitting the regime after the elections.

They polled?

And of course, the man who would be king; while loving to take credit for 'great leadership'; at the same time, does not want to leave his fingerprints anywhere - allowing he has any - lest these should be used against him.

All this results in Obama's 'hugging both sides of issue; or a passive-aggressive approach to problems and a leadership that appears 'schizo' at best. There is also the double-edged hypocrisy of those he serves versus those he pretends to serve. And then throw in his big narcissistic self. . .

Meantime, Elections have consequences; certainly tragic ones an option; and include those, 'world-sized'.

/ Will read 'full story'. . .and see what gives here./

With 2012 approaching, Hussein is trying to revive his mideast campaign cash network

You may be uncomfortably close to the real story.

That, or he's been told it's time to start earning the boodle he got back in the 1980's, that he went to Hahvuhd on.

When was the last time 0bama actually visited the house he supposedly owns in Chicago? Do the 0bamas and their children not have friends there?

Nowadays it's just his boogie crashpad.

Methinks he and Moochelle have become slightly allergic to hanging there, with neighbor Tony Rezko in the news .... tends to remind Chicago ink-stained types how they got the place. Don't need that!

That, and the Shirley Sherrod payday that actually paid for it.....

If I were the European military, I would not share my plans with Obama, since there is a better than even chance he will have a diplomat negotiate with Daffy Duck and in the process “inadvertently” disclose future military plans.

I would tell Obama how it went after it was completed and the troops are back in the barn.
