That is because other muslims know they are used as terorist organizing and meeting places and weapons storage

It should be USA policy that any mosque that is found to be storing weapons or housing terrorist activities is NO LONGER a religious place but a TARGET

They are simpily destroying non-Wahhabist mosques. To the Saudis there is only one brand of Islam... all others are anathema.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a little “ABNA” mixed in with Sunday’s news. I really do miss Al Capp.

The sauds have been doing this for many, many decades.
They replace them with ultra violent wahabi facilities.
Anyone cheering this on is ignorant of what’s really going on
Google: Saudi religious site destruction

Open your eyes.

Funny, no other news outlets are reporting this; Reuters, AFP, BBC, etc.

I'd have to say it's BS.

I know that if I was a leader in Iran, I would be VERY TEMPTED to jump across the Gulf and help liberate Bahrain and Saudi Arabia...considering that the US and other countries are getting their jollies right now by bombing the crap out of Libya. I would DEFINITELY sense a power vacuum in the Gulf.

While these are no doubt Shiite Mosques, this is nothing to be happy about. The Saudi’s have been financing building of their Sunni Madrassa schools throughout the world. There Muslims learn the Wahabi version of Islam which was developed in the 17th Century in the poorest most ignorant province of Saudi Arabia. It is the most repressive and backward of all major Islamic teachings. So, I repeat, probably bad news as well as a bad sign.

Hey Frantzie, you should probably be over here on this thread trashing the Saudi Leadership, like you have on many others.

If the Sunnis and Shiites are going to start going at it, there’s a bunch of us that need to get the hell out of the “Land of Two Rivers.”

Saudis Sunnis fear Shias. They've slaughtered each other many times before and will again.

We all need to remember that both are evil cults. Both hate Christians to an extent most Americans do not seem to understand.

The Christians in Iraq have all but disappeared in our latest fool's errand there. We did not protect them and we will not protect those who are left. We have acted shamefully again and again. Dittoes for the thugs we support in Afghanistan.

Sunni - Shia war. As much as I hate seeing Bahrain getting destroyed in this process (it’s a lovely country and it has a great deal of history — Bahrain was called Dilmun and was on the trade routes between the Sumerians in what is now Iraq and the Indian Harrappan civilisation and has its first mention in 3000 BC — it is also the supposed site of the garden of Eden (not so outlandish if you consider that the water levels would have been lower and the Persian gulf a stream), I think it’s a good thing we should encourage.
