RE: A non-US airplane will get shot down soon. All the EU/UN people will pull out and the US will be left to hold down the “no-winning-zone” for the next umpteen years all by ourselves.

__________________________________________________________________________

If I read Obama correctly, he’s more of a whimp than Clinton, so, if one of our planes get shot down and he sees dead bodies being dragged on the streets ( as in Black Hawk Down in Mogadishu ), HE WILL ORDER A RETREAT ( as Clinton did ).

A non-US airplane will get shot down soon.

No doubt Gadaffi is hoping for this, and to capture the pilot, bedraggled images for all the world to see, force a weak West to capitulate for his release, Jesse Jackson will offer to mediate, Obama will capitulate but still declare victory, MSM will cheer his "leadership" in "saving" the pilot, etc etc etc.

“It is not worth war,” Will said, arguing that the U.S. should not become entangled in “tribal” conflicts. “We have taken sides in that civil war on behalf of a people we do not know or understand, for the purpose — not a vow, but inexorably our purpose — of creating a political vacuum by decapitating the government. Into that vacuum, what will flow we do not know and cannot know.”

Wolfowitz disagreed. “What we have prevented, for one thing, is a bloodbath in Benghazi, which would have stained our reputation throughout the Arab world at a time when our reputation really matters,” he said. “I understand George’s hesitations. But it would seem to me, if you followed those hesitations, you say, ‘It is better to keep this devil that we know than the unknown.’ And I don’t see how any unknown could be worse than the devil who is in Tripoli right now.”

It’s been a long time since I agreed with George Will, but...he’s right, and Wolfowitz doesn’t have the brains God gives a goose.

Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi promised a “long war” from an undisclosed bunker.

So he's in Illinois?

Will Congress vote against this illegal action?

Good question.

Ask the Republican caucus.

Has Yemen oil?

That's not how Obama decides his wars.

First he looks at the present government. If they are already anti-America (no change needed)

Obama's probably looking to bomb Saudi Arabia, Jordan or Kuwait next. They're just way too pro-America in Obama's eyes.

There was a reason.. The objective was to get Iraq out of Kuwait, not get rid of Saddam. Plain and simple..

BTW, Unlike Bush, Obama NEVER consulted congress on this action.

True. But, according to Obama (he wouldn't lie, would he), he did consult "Congressional Leaders".

Of course, the talking heads only report this consultation without ever asking who the Congressional Leaders were and asking whether or not The Constitution requires the approval of Congress or just Congressional Leaders.

The huge difference is Congress deliberated regarding the invasion of Iraq.

After a long debate, they VOTED FOR Military action.

We know for one that Hillary, Kerry, Edwards, among the Democrats voted FOR the invasion of Iraq.

We also know that Ted Kennedy voted NO.

We don’t have ANY such deliberations or votes in Congress now.

This is by-passing congressional authority and unlawful.

Obama will capitulate but still declare victory

Makes you sick knowing this will happen, doesn't it?

The huge difference is Congress deliberated regarding the invasion of Iraq.

I'm not comparing this to Iraq. I'm comparing this to Bosnia. Although, I must admit, I don't remember whether or not Clinton sought Congressional approval. He may have. I forget. But, essentially, the goal was the same. Paint Clinton political opponents as Clinton-haters while Clinton gets to artificially inflate his military bona fides.

This is by-passing congressional authority and unlawful.

So is ObamaCare. So was the so-called "Deem and Pass" budget. So is taking over General Motors.

This is my whole point. They don't give a flying fig about The Constitution. This is all about getting Ubama re-elected.

We know Ubama's base is not going to vote for Palin. And they know how popular Palin is. This is all about deceiving those idiot "Independents". We're nothing but a bunch of mean old cranky Obama haters. Except for those "thoughtful" Republicans who "support our President in time of war."

This is one gigantic media twist of our nipples. Obama is the Purple Nurple President.

Barry described the attacks as a “limited military action” employing a “broad coalition” that is European led...

A "broad coalition"now consists of 3 countries?
No wait...it may be up to 5 countries now.

Where was this "broad coalition" when Saddam made a game of massacring Iraqis? Or when Mugabe was murdering all the whites he could find? Where have they been as the Iranians demonstrating and begging for freedom are mowed down on the streets of Iran? And WTH were they when Barry's cousin, Raila Odinga was slaughtering innocent Kenyans because they did not vote for him? FUBO!
