I don't mean to be an a**hole, but, the vast majority of people do not listen to these shows daily like you and I might. This is a big deal to us, to a huge portion of the population, it means nothing.

As a matter of fact, it doesn't even mean that much to me any more. I had no doubt years ago that this guy scammed the system, he "became" a foreign student when it suited his purposes. What surprises you about that? So now we have "proof"? So what?

You cannot believe any of the official narrative about this guy nor a single sentence that comes out of his mouth. Think about that! Where was he born? Who were his parents? How did he do in school? What is his medical condition? Who were his friends on the way up? Who wrote his books? What does he really think? How much real world experience does he have for the job he has now? What did he learn in school? What did he learn in the madrassa? What are his religious beliefs?

As for a huge swath of your fellow citizens, they don't know and many of them don't want to know.

Actually, it might or might not be fraud to apply as a foreign student: I have a nephew, born in the US, who is a dual US and Norwegian citizen. He grew up primarily in Norway (but spoke English at home). When he came to the US to look at colleges, he discussed his dual status openly and was advised by all of the schools to apply as a foreign student, especially since he would have the standard Norwegian government student stipend for Norwegians studying abroad. The only difference between him and other foreign students was that he didn't need any visa.

Of course, he wasn't asking for any financial aid on the US side....
