Some aide or speechwriter can worry about coming up with a few words over the next couple days to take some of the pressure off. But you can be certain that he’s peeved that he has to come up with something to say at all.

He’s irritated that it became necessary to cut his vacation short, and he’s showing it through the passive-aggressive act of putting the speech off until Monday.

Obama is determined to enjoy his weekend (”Why can’t I just eat my waffle?”), and nothing, not a shooting war or Congress or the damn press are going to get in the way of that.
