Trump sends investigators to Hawaii to look into Obama
CNN ^

Posted on 04/07/2011 7:20:45 AM PDT by quesney

Washington (CNN) – Self-proclaimed birther Donald Trump is now so doubtful of President Obama's birthplace that he's sent a team of his own investigators to Hawaii in hopes of getting to the bottom of the issue.

That's according to Trump himself, who, in an interview with NBC, warned his investigators just might uncover "one of the greatest cons in the history of politics and beyond."

"I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding," Trump said an interview that aired Thursday Morning.

Asked if he has assigned people specifically to search in Hawaii, Trump said, "Absolutely."

The business mogul, who in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll is tied for second place among potential presidential candidates, also suggested the president is involved in an ongoing cover-up over the matter.

"He spent $2 million in legal fees trying on to get away from this issue, and if it weren't an issue, why wouldn't he just solve it?" he said. "I wish he would because if he doesn't, it's one of the greatest scams in the history of politics and in the history, period. You are not allowed to be a president if you're not born in this country. Right now, I have real doubts."

We have a number of fine, very coservative, patriotic members of Freerepublic.com who happen to be black. It makes me wonder what they think when they see ebonic-type racial mocking on this forum.

To start with fella, Bozo isn't going to come up with a genuine BC, he would have done so by now if he had one, and he certainly wouldn't have spent 2 million of his stolen dollars to fight court challenges if he had a $20 certificate he could have flashed, and he certainly wouldn't have put a forged COLB(which isn't proof even if it wasn't forged)on the internet if he had a long form to do so.

The fake COLB is the proof positive he doesn't have a long form to show, or doesn't want to show the long form, for whatever reason. He would not have put the fake up if he wasn't concerned about the issue, and if he is that concerned and had a real long form to show he would have shown it by now.

Making a loud noise about it is the best way to handle it. Keeping quiet about it is the cowards way to handle this mess.

The Donald is bluffing and acting as a distraction.
I’m not sure what his motive is but pretty certain he actually voted for Obama in 2008.

Rumors have it that Axelrod has been seeking a way out of the Obama administration, if he hasn’t done so already.

Valerie Jarrett and FL Michelle Obama are racists who hate whites and made it uncomfortable for Rahm Emmanuel to function in his job, and no doubt for any whites still in the administration. How Jay Carney stands it is anyone’s guess.

So Emmanuel and Axelrod, both Jews, are no longer carrying water for Obama who is hell-bent on destroying Israel.

I suspect that both men are conduits for Trump, who is pro-Israel. The Clintons privately slam Jews and are not supporters of Israel. So are Emmanuel and Axelrod conduits for them?

" I believe that American voters, across the board, have been betrayed! The perpetrators of this fraud have been laughing in their sleeves at us for a very long time!! "

Don't let your heart be troubled, we hope within the next few months there will be calls from Congress for Obama to either resign or be removed from office.

You nailed it. ‘Keeping quiet’ is the way of the GOP leadership. And what is their reward? They are ever more vilely and intensely vilified by Dems and the MSM.

Trump is loud. He makes noise and shows no fear. He’s got the Dems and the MSM wetting themselves. He’s changing minds and hearts as everyday Americans watch the knee pad media twist themselves into nonsensical knots in their attempt to deflect him. He’s bringing this home to the fraudster in the Oval Office, to very good effect. We need more of what he’s doing, not less.

He donated the max to McCain, and very publicly and strongly endorsed him. It’s even noted on HuffPo that Trump voted for McCain.

Many folks have posted here on FR that they put birth notices in their local papers for grandchildren born overseas; did you ever see that happen in your newspaper?

I don’t think so. If I were him at this point, I’d hold onto that birth certificate until there is optimal benefit in revealing it. That point hasn’t come yet. That point will come when some conservative, fueled by the loudmouths out there screaming about the birth certificate, gets goaded into trumpeting their birth certificate in a debate with Obama. This is not an October surprise that we want, folks.

Fantasywritier, the reason I always challange birther claims posted without any substantiating evidence is because birthers have a tendency to believe things that someone else has just made up out of whole cloth, and then repeat them. Hence the easiest way to debunk most birther claims is to simply ask for proof. When you can't produce proof, your claim is debunked. Period.

By responding to me the way you did above, you revealed to me that you were just repeating a rumor and had obviously had not seen any actual evidence that Obama's grandmother said he was born in Kenya. You just saw it repeated on various blogs, "all over the internet," as you say, and that caused you to believe it. You seem to be under the mistaken impression that just because some factoid is being cited "all over the internet," then it must be true, or at the least, has a high degree of probability of being true.

What you fail to grasp is the ease with which it is to make up and spread false rumors on the internet. That's why it is really stupid to believe anything, or even assign it some non-zero probability of being true, just because you see it "all over the internet," as you like to say.

Many things, especailly things related to Birthism, have been proven false despite the fact that they were "all over the internet." You want some examples? How about the birther myth that there was a US travel ban to Pakistan when Obama visited the country. There's the myth that Maya Seotoro, Obama's Indonesian-born half sister, has a Hawaiian COLB. There's the myth that some Hawaiian state agencies did not, until recently, accept COLB's a proof of birth in the state. There's the myth that McCain had to show his birth certificate to a Senate Committee. There's the myth that McCain was born in Colon, Panama. I could go on all day listing blatently false birther rumers that birthers have continued to repeat on blogs, long after they were disproven, in some cases even until this day.

So tell me, Fantasywriter, given the history of birther blogs making up rumors up out of whole cloth, and then other blogs and birthers repeating those rumors ad nausium, why do fail to demand evidence before believing? Given the birther history of false rumors, it's a pretty good bet that if there's a birther claim being repeated all over the 'net, but no evidence has ever been presented to back it up, it's false.

Now as to the specific myth in question: Obama's grandma allegedly saying he was born in Kenya, I know the source of that myth. I looked into it over two and a half years ago. The reason I asked you to substantaite it is because, in addition to the fact that basic logic said the burden of proof was on you, I wanted to assess whether you were just repeating a rumor you had heard, or whether you had actually looked into on your own. Now that I know the answer to that question, I will provide you with proof that it is indeed a myth.

The original source of the myth is a telephone conversation that some guy who calls himself "Bishop" McCrae had with Obama Jr.'s STEP grandmother, that is, one of the other wives of Obama Sr.'s father. The good "bishop" ubruptly cuts the tape off at a point in order to make it seem like the lady is saying her step-grandson was born in Kenya. However, if you listen to the unedited tape, it becomes obvious that is not what she is saying, and in point of fact she says he was born in Hawaii. I am not relying on any leftist blogs as my source. I only rely on the actual unedited tape of the conversation.

Here you can listed to the "bishop's" edited tape in which it sounds like she's saying she was at Obama Jr's birth:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGWcD5OHm08&feature=related

And here's the full tape:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CY6bPYKLjNw

Go ahead and listen to both for yourself. I am confident that if you do so with an open mind, you will agree with me that the good lady never says Obama was born in Kenya.

Yes, he will! The Donald is nothing if not a hoopla magnet. Love him or hate him, the man does know how to engage in verbal warfare. He and Chris Christie are cut from the same mold in that regard, and the GOP pols need to be taking notes. We’re all sick to death of the namby-pamby girly men who care more about whether or not the MSM will say mean things about them than they are about the survival of this country.

" Believe me, if he is found out, he will pull a bill Clinton and start saying “I found this out in the papers just like you did”

Come on now, think about it Yaelle, Obama can't even claim this either, how can he claim even this after spending over $ 2 million to keep his records and past hidden ? it would not work.

It’s one of two things: (1) you don’t even read my posts, or (2) you read them but are unable to comprehend what I’m saying. Your reply reveals one of those two things. If you can’t (or won’t) even read what I write, or for whatever reason you are incapable of understanding plain English, then communication is impossible.

If he does get booted, it will call into question every single piece of paper he has signed. All the legislation, SCOTUS appointments, etc. ALL of it. This could be truly HUGE.

I would love nothing more than to see his sorry ass removed from the White House post haste.
