Washington (CNN) – Self-proclaimed birther Donald Trump is now so doubtful of President Obama's birthplace that he's sent a team of his own investigators to Hawaii in hopes of getting to the bottom of the issue.
That's according to Trump himself, who, in an interview with NBC, warned his investigators just might uncover "one of the greatest cons in the history of politics and beyond."
"I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding," Trump said an interview that aired Thursday Morning.
Asked if he has assigned people specifically to search in Hawaii, Trump said, "Absolutely."
The business mogul, who in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll is tied for second place among potential presidential candidates, also suggested the president is involved in an ongoing cover-up over the matter.
"He spent $2 million in legal fees trying on to get away from this issue, and if it weren't an issue, why wouldn't he just solve it?" he said. "I wish he would because if he doesn't, it's one of the greatest scams in the history of politics and in the history, period. You are not allowed to be a president if you're not born in this country. Right now, I have real doubts."

At this moment, the Saudis, Libyans, Jordanians, Russians, Chinese, Japanese, South Korean, and Vatican diplomats are flying to Hawaii to hand off records to “Trump’s People”, since the same information they have been sending to Eric Holder has been shredded.
I’m sure the interview was rife with ad hominems and no actual refutation of Trump’s assertions.
Well, no one else would even bring up the issue . . . neither Rush, Hannity, Beck, Malkin, Coulter . . . NONE OF THEM until now, and then they kinda' refer to it briefly . . . I'm so disgusted with our conservative voices for having ignored this issue as if they've been threatened with death or something.
I hope "the Donald" has used his billions to surround himself with body guards at every step.
He needs to stay away from parks after dark, lest the Zero put Hillary on the case and The Donald gets himself “Fostered”.

My bet is Trump already has all the goods and this “team of investigators” is now re-playing everything in front of the media. The “investigators” will know EXACTLY where to go for info as it has been gleaned once already..

First of all, he is not a “self-proclaimed birther”. He may be questioning the existence of a BC, but he’s stated that the term “birther” is pejorative and demeaning to those concerned about this issue.

Interesting item in the passage above: It seems, according to the passage above, that "hospital where he was born took out ads in two Hawaiian newspapers in 1961 announcing the birth..."
Boy, was I surprised to read the above passage in the article, because all this time I was led to believe over the past two years that Obama's birth announcement in the two newspapers originated from the Department of Health and not the hospital of Obama's birth.
I guess one of us is confused: The author of the CNN article or me. Could someone help me here? That is, is the author of the CNN article correct when he says that the hospital where Obama was born is the one who sent Obama's birth announcement to the two newspapers? Thanks.
He would also hit paydirt if he investigated Obama’s school records. There’s probably some very interesting info there also. Names used, foreign student status, student loan records, grades - why focus just on Hawaii?

Then Trump really went out on a limb and told her the Kenyan Grandma said he was born in Kenya and that she was there. I'm not kidding, half the time she was speechless and the other half her mouth was literally hanging open and she was doing the "But Donald..." thing. And I was LMAO...loved it!

Conservatives have been too compliant in the tolerance of Liberals’ flaws ... not JUST Obama’s defects... but, Conservatives have been overly broadminded about all deficiencies and even crimes where Liberal politicians and policies are concerned.
The MSM successfully bullies Conservatives into submission on this and on MANY issues where Liberals have clearly broken the rules or otherwise defrauded the public.
It is time for this to stop! There is a TWO party system in America and it is time to assess both parties by the same standards.

If he wasn’t eligible, then it brings down all the executive orders, signed legislation, Supreme Court Appointments, his little Libya war and revolutions in the Middle East...should make it all null and void.
Two, it brings down the democrat party. Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Dean etc. The whole darn democrat machine gets stopped. Their candidate and not properly vetted? Don’t believe it for a second.
Three, potentially puts a republican in the White House, before 2012. Not the best republican, but damage control really can start.

Viera was practicallly whining trying to get him to say nice things about Obama. Did she or anyone in MSM ever try to interrupt a Democrat with “say something positive about Prez Bush”?
the research has already been done on this by many on this Forum and elsewhere. All Trump has to do is listen to it.
Any reasonable human being upon listening to the information on this would come to the conclusion that something is awry with this president’s background.
The BC is a smoking gun. The other rumors, that he never really attended Occidental College, got in at Harvard through the Saudis, the Social Security number from CT and elsewhere....his name changes....
Everything hints that there was wide scale fraud in this guys background.
Then comes the final corker, being that he is NOT a natural born citizen with our without the BC since his father was not a citizen here.
Trump, knows the end game. He’s planting seeds along the way, so the American people, who are slow to accept this kind of thing unless it’s presented sensationally, will buy into it.

I wouldn’t call myself a birther, but I always wondered why he wouldn’t merely show his birth certificate. It would end all controversy, unless he is doing this to try to make conservatives look crazy until he one day produces it. I think it will be interesting for sure to see what Donald finds. He certainly has the money and tools to investigate this. Either way, this issue might be put to bed once and for all.

We were not perfect then, but we were a whole lot closer. I'm hoping that we can get from here to where we need to be without the productive third of society going Galt to make the parasites and looters understand their responsibility to support themselves. [BTW, I have nearly gone Galt, by choice, including now a 95% cut from my previous income. I am not willing to support the socialists beyond a bare minimum level, and I'm rethinking even that level.]
Wow, I wasn’t aware that ONLY a hospital could post birth announcements. You learn something new every day... Silly me, when my child was born the hospital had no interest in posting an announcement, I had to do it all by myself.
I guess when you have nothing to lose you can speak this way.
